My husband and I will be going to Disney in July with our grandson who is 12 years old. We both have annual passes but we are thinking about getting the 10 day/no expiration/parkhopper pass for our grandson.
I am concerned that he may not go with us much longer because of his age. My questions are:
1). if we buy the 10 day pass are we allowed to transfer the unused portion to our other grandkids?
2). is the pass to be used exclusively for whom it is purchased for ?

I just want to be sure because I may reduce the # of days if it is non-transferrable.

Thanks for the help !! :)

1.) No
2.) Yes

Those are the official "rules".
Whether you abide by those rules is up to your personal morals - especially with kids' tickets kept within the same family, the chance that Disney will find out if another kid uses part of the days is pretty small.

Unless the new biometric scanner is used, and detects the difference.

I would just purchase the admission you need for this child, now. Buy it without the no-expiry option and you save a lot of money. We have four days left from a non-expiring 10 day MYW pass, but are buying brand-new expiring passes for our upcoming trip, saving the four days for some future trip, because the number of days didn't work out. (We're going to need six days of admission... two day passes are very expensive!)

The child is 12 and will be using an adult ticket which will have a biometric scan attached to it. I assume anyone 10 and over uses the biometric scan because they have an adult ticket.

Thanks everyone !
I think I may just purchase the 5 day non expiration pass for him. :)
