Not sure if will word this right, but here goes:

We typically buy Annual Passes and get 2 trips 51 weeks apart out of them. (For example end of March 2010 and beginning of March 2011) We are considering adding a trip in October 2011 and would buy a 10-day non expiring water park, fun, and more ticket to use this trip as well as other trips when we wouldn't have an active Annual Pass. This 10 day ticket would probably last 5 or 6 years during which time I would have also bought 2 or 3 annual passes.

Basically the question is: Am I allowed to buy a new annual pass even though I may still have some active days on a non-expiring ticket? I am sure the answer is yes, but would just like some confirmation.

Thanks

Yes. It is not a problem.

In other words, you would have a ten-day No Expire with WPF&M. The Fun entries remain valid until they are all used up, even if you have used all of the theme park days. Then you buy a regular AP and on days when you want to go to a WP or DQ you would use one of the remaining entries from the NE ticket.

It makes economic sense. It would cost $583 (with hopping) plus tax, while an AP would go for $499 or a PAP for $629.

Just to be clear, I would be buying a new annual pass before I had used up all of the theme park days (I would be "saving" these theme park days for future trips when I would not have an AP) I presume this is still ok?

Thank you very much.

It is not a problem. If you go to the locked sticky Everything About WDW Tickets in this Forum, especially Post #11, you can get a lot more information. An easy way to get to the sticky is by clicking on the link in my signature.

You can have as many tickets that are not APs that you want.

This is what we do. I typically buy AP's, but still have some non-expired tickets with fun visits to DQ, and waterparks on them, maybe even a theme park day or two. Ten visits on a non-expiring ticket can last for several years and costs less for us than buying the premium passes each year.

We have AP's right now. But, I have thought about buying 10 day NE tickets with WP&M option to them.

We are getting 3 trips out of our current AP's (Dec 10, April 11, Sept/Oct 11). But, we will only buy AP's when the timing is right for us.

We have had AP's for the last 2 years. I have a set of 10 day non-expiring tickets from 2005 that still have some days on them. I just recently purchased a set of 10 day non-expiring hoppers with the water park option on them, and a set of 10 day non-expiring tickets with the water park option, but non-park hoppers for my family. We will use these tickets on years that we don't have AP's. You can have as many Disney tickets as you wish at one time - Disney will always take your ticket money.

Thanks to everyone. Looks like I will be buying the non-expiring with water park option as the 10 admissions to a water park make it really worthwhile.
