$10 and under store at DtD!!!!!

I just received the DVC member newsletter and in it was this info:

Mickey's Mart keeps gifts at $10 and under
Downtown Disney® Marketplace recently opened Mickey's Mart—"Everything Ten Dollars and Under," a new merchandise location specializing in, well, everything $10 and under.

Located between the Disney Tails and Disney at Home shops, the new store offers a featured item of the week, $6.99 surprise grab bags containing at least three items and a special offering that lets Guests fill their own box with as many as four items for $10.

Colorful signs help kids identify the various price levels as they shop for their souvenirs.

Be sure to check out the new shop the next time you visit the Downtown Disney area. It's one more way to capture tangible memories of your Disney vacation.

Thought this might help those who love a bargain, like me!!!

That is one of our first stops. We get in on Wed afternoon and Friday we are planning to check it out.... then during the 10 days we are there we can see if we can get it at the '10 dollar store or not" Then 2 days before flying out we will go back and pick up our items that we found cheaper there. - ** Last day is always Magic Kingdom one more time - crying everytime we walk under the train station out towards the turntiles for the last time till next trip**

We were there between Christmas and New Year's! It's a cute little shop.

They also have Grab Bags for $6.99 which is a real bargoon! It's nice to open them and see what is inside. It's also a cheaper way to get a lot of little trinkets for less than their original price!

I am so, so, so excited about this new store!! It's gonna be one of my first stops at DTD!!!

I was at this store in early December....with the exception of the grab bags (which may be a bargain, may not be), everything in the store was the same items sold at the WoD store that were regularly priced $10 or less. I did not see any clearance/special buys. The only advantage I see to this store is to take kids who are wanting the most bang for their buck from their souvenir money.

There was alot of regular priced items there that were $10 or less at WOD. They did have the bargain of the week item 2 very large Minnie Mugs and they were 2 for $10. I kept picking them up and telling Dh I was coming back to get them. They were perfect for soups and oatmeal at work. Well I went back on NYE and yep! they were gone! I didnt think mugs would be so popular!

If you are an AP holder, be sure to check there first before purchasing at Mickey Mart because at WOD we get the 10% discount.

P.S. It is really not a store, but the alley between Dis at Home and Pooh.
