Thank you so much for the sweet compliments! I do love so many of my pictures, so I don't want to sound bummed out about it. But, I can guarantee you that no one will be as critical of your pics (and the pics you didn't get) as you! (or, if you're like me, your mom

)
And honestly, photoshop can cover a multitude of sins (or chocolate smears).
The only pics I took with my family or DH with his family were immediately following the ceremony in the WP. LOVE the WP...but it sorta looks canned and BORING when you have pic after pic after pic where you and the groom stand still and people hop in and out. We could have gotten much more beautifully composed shots if we had scheduled some time before the wedding at the GF.
When I first came down to the lobby of the GF, the Roots were there. I knew I was running late at this point (my BMs weren't even ready yet), and they (Roots) asked me if I would like to take some pics with my family or do it later. First of all...they shouldn't have given me a choice

When I'm giddy happy...I don't care WHAT happens around me. We could have taken some beautiful pics in the GF lobby, but I thought we needed to be running for the door because we were late.
Plus, I really wanted more pics with my maids. And pics of my maids and I walking to the lobby TOGETHER (which didn't happen).
We didn't do a First Look, but if you do, you'll need time for that, too. I think EVERY photographer known to man LOVES First Looks, and they certainly get some of the couple shots out of the way when you're fresh...and before the guests are waiting for you at the reception.
But, from the Grooms' perspective...DH told me (without me asking him what he thought) that he was so glad we didn't. He said he can never replace the feeling of waiting for me at the front of the WP with all his family looking on. And then seeing me for the first time as the doors were opened. We both agree that a first look would have still been special...but he was glad to do it the way we did (I really didn't care one way or the other).
Okay, that had nothing to do with pictures...off my soap-box now.
