Happy Friday! I have had an interesting morning. I was running the vacuum in the playroom, and sucked up Avery's blankie by mistake. I had to look up the owner's manual online to figure out how to find it. But luckily, it came out in 1 piece!

Well, drama is over... off to do laundry and dishes!

I have a new say...."There's always drama when you're a momma!" Glad you recovered the blankie!

I just found out this afternoon that one of my students from my class last year is in the hospital here, fighting both strep and a staph infection. He is a very special young man. He also played baseball with my younger son 2 years ago. His name is Quinn. Please remember him, his family and the medical staff treating him in your prayers. I will keep you updated on his condition.

Sometimes I scare even myself. I rediscovered this site and saw that everyone was signing up when they were going. I thought cool I'll do it too. As I was scrolling down I noticed a momofapirate who was also bringing 11 of her nearest on the same cruise from the same area.....Huh???? so I scrolled down and realized that person was me! All I can say is wowsers!!!!
Anyway I am in mode to start planning and chatting with the group. I hope you all are having a good Sunday, and I am not usually this clueless.

I just received an email from Quinn's mother. The strain of staph he has responds to medicine, and he has apparently been on the correct medication for 48 hrs. He is still in pain and does not have a good appetite, but had a better night last nigth. Thank you again for your prayers. Please keep them going for Quinn. I do not know how long his recovery will be. To be 10 years old and going through this, it is tough.

On another happy note, we paid off our cruise last night. I am so ready for October 4th to get here.

welcome back momofapirate...that's a funny story.

As far as staph, it really is serious, one of my previous students got it last year, and has had it three or four more times since then. His mom even contracted it and had to be put in the hospital as well. I don't think he's being careful with it, as far as keeping it covered at home, so it's no surprise that his mom got it. I guess 14 year old boys don't take things as seriously as they should.

Welcome, Mindibellcm! I am originally from Murfreesboro. Are you a native of the 'boro? I lived there until I met and married my DH. I still have family there.

Lois, I love your countdown.

More news about my student who is in the hospital. His mother reports that he is beginning to eat a little. He is also able to sleep some. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. Please keep the prayers going. His parents are hopeful he will be able to go home in a few days.

Welcome (and welcome back!) Mindibellcm and momofapirate! We have a good meet group going so far. You can find all the important info in post # 1 and 4 on the first page.

I have been lurking the past couple of days, but haven't really had time to post. We had Bible school this past weekend, and I was really busy with that. We do Friday night cookout and family activities, Sat they have classes from 9-2, and Sunday AM they did a presentation and play during Sunday school, and sang during church. Both kids had a friend sleep over so they could attend, too. Then i had a 3 1/2 hour meeting at church last night...

ANYWAY... hope everyone is having an good week so far. Glad to hear your student is improving, Gena. My MIL had a staff infection in the arteries in her neck after surgery several years ago, and it was awful.

1 more week and I can get online to register! I have seen others post on the board that their trip shows a balance (or lack thereof.) Where can I find this info? I would love to be able to see when DCL actually receives my final payment. My due date to my TA was today, so I am sure she will get it out as soon as my check clears. I can't believe we are finally this close, after all the waiting!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry it's been so long since I've been on, we've had a tonne going on the last little while. I've been checking in periodically but just no time to post any updates! My grandpa passed on June 25 so we had a service for him to attend but it's like 13 hours drive from here so we decided if we were driving that far we may as well make a week of visiting along with it. My mom was also here for a week too, it was a huge help since we really have no family around here. Needless to say it was a very productive week. I've been working on launching my new business as well so that's taking up a lot of my time right now.

Anyways, on a good note, we finally applied final payment on our trip yesterday! Patiently waiting for the 21st to come. So does anyone know when we can officially book things....I've read mention of midnight....doesn't really matter too much. We've decided on a couple of tours but it's kind of difficult to arrange something that all 9 of us can do including the baby with a stroller, but like I said we decided on a couple.

What excursions have you decided on? We are mostly doing things on our own, but we will book something in Grand Cayman... once we decide which one!

I am happier than a pig in poop!!! Just bought my airline tickets! I don't know why but it feels so much more real now. Since this is my first Disney cruise I can't book excursions until 7/21, I have cruised 4 other times on RCI and 2 of them had western iteneraries. I know what we want to do, I am paid in full. Just waiting for Midnight. I feel like the Anti-Cinderella I am only on page 25 of this thread, so it is weird seeing things that have happened to y'all over the year and wanting to give words of encouragement, or add my 2 cents worth and realizing I am a year late. I need to read up on the meets and FE stuff, because I have never done anything like that and it sounds like oodles of noodles of fun

Hi everyone. We have been away for the last few days at my parents so have been offline. They are getting excited about the cruise but a bit worried about getting there.

Anyone staying at WDW after the cruise? Steve and I will be at the FW cabins from Sat - Thur. I think we'll do MNSSHP since he was sick last year and really didn't enjoy it.

We are staying at CBR Sat-Sat before the long trek home.
