Can anyone give me detailed directions (or show me where they might be) on how to make your own fish extender? I need dimensions and such.

Happy 4th of July to all of you!

The best direction I can give is to go to ebay and type in fish extender...the gal I bought mine from even personalized it for our family and the $30 I spent was so worth the headache of this non-swing person to create one. Honestly, I could never have done half as good a job...it is worth a look!

OMGoodness! I was there too, except I was sorta under the bridge down in the park. I wish I'd known you were going to be there, we could have met up! Oh well, we'll get together..maybe this week or the next.

92 more days!!!!

Fish Extender

Home made using Iron on transfer paper that prints on our home ink jet printer.
You need 1/4 yard of fabric, iron interfacing, wide double fold bias tape, and a 3/8" dowel 8" long.

Pockets are 11" X 5 1/2"
Back is 32" X 8"

Cut out backing and pockets then iron on interfacing.
Sew bias tape on top of pocket
pleat once on each side and pin bottom of pocket so that it is 8" wide.
baste, then pin bias tape on bottom and sew on
Pin pockets on backing and sew bottom of pocket to backing
Pin and baste around entire outside of project.
Pin then sew bias tape around outside edge of whole fish extender
fold top over leaving room for you dowel at top and sew along the inside of bias tape down each side to secure.

I am not a professional! These are just my notes on how I made mine. Good luck!

I copied this from another thread. Hope it helps!

Simo... did you contact Denise (MommaluvsDIS) and get signed up on the fish extender list? If not, make sure you do that so she can add you to the list!

Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. I ended up helping Wynn work on the garage. Today I am going to get the den really clean and shampoo the rug, and scrub the kitchen. Tomorrow I am going to go through both kids rooms and clean out while they are in Chicago. The fun never ends!!

Ok, kari, you're making me feel bad....I have done NOTHING today except fold and put away two loads of laundry. I did drive to Panera to get coffee, but I don't think that counts as being productive.

I cleaned up my two youngest sons' rooms yesterday, and I may tackle the other boys' rooms today...but then again, I may not, lol

question: when you make your excursion reservations, do you have to pay then or make any kind of deposit?

Lori P. :)

Hello Everyone,

Hope you all had a wonderful 4th. My best friend since I was in 5th grade and her family came to stay a couple of days with us. Being an only child, she is the sister I never had. We grilled out and then went to a Huntsville Stars baseball game. At the end they had a great fireworks show (of course, it doesn't even begin to compare to Disney). They left this morning to go back to Tennessee. We are going to take it easy this afternoon. I am catching up on laundry, trying to get the sheets and towels washed from their stay.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. Stay safe.

Lori the excursions are charged to your onboard account so no you don't have to pay now or make a deposit. The tickets are in your cabin when you board. I also think you can cancel up to 3 days before you sail.

I will once I have enough posts on here to send the message!

I think we have decided to stick with late seating. My question of the day - how dressy is dressy enough for formal night for kids? I was thinking something similar to an Easter or Christmas outfit, which for DD would be a fancier dress and for DS would be a long sleeved shirt, vest, tie and pants. Is this dressy enough? There was a post on another board that got me thinking, esp. for DS, if I needed to get him a suit. He is hot blooded so I wonder if he'd be comfortable in it - but I know it'd be really cute too! DH and I usually end up getting fairly dressed up (either suit or tux for him) so maybe it'd be a chance for a good photo as well.

You will be fine. I don't know if I can even wear my formal so it most likely will stay home this trip. I will just wear a dress. A suit for your DS is not needed either. Go for comfort and remember that this is a vacation. I try to dress up on Semi and formal night but if that is not something you want to do it just isn't a big deal. Lois

Simo... get to posting! Only 3 left to go!

I think Wynn and I are going to dress in nice clothes for formal and semi-formal nights, but that is it. The kids will be dressed in church clothes, which is a dress for Avery and khakis and a golf shirt for Tucker. I am going to have a hard enough time getting Wynn out of his shorts for dinner that I had better not push the tux thing! We tend to get such mild winters here that Wynn wears his shorts 365 days/year. Even in the dead of winter he wears shorts with a sweatshirt and coat! To take him to a tropical paradise and make him out on khakis... :scared1: Needless to say... I haven't discussed dress code with him yet!

My boys will probably wear a white dress shirt and tie for formal and semi-formal nights. They do not have suits. DS 10 is wanting a sport coat, so he may wear that if he has one. I am still trying to decide what to wear myself. Last year, my dress for semi-formal night on the Wonder was a sleeveless pink linen dress that I accessorized with pearls. I only saw a couple of people wearing formal wear. I want to find a nice dress, but don't want to buy a formal, since I don't have anywhere else to wear one. I have a dressy blouse I bought on clearance just for the cruise that I am going to put with my dressy black skirt. If I can find a black dress that I can dress up, I will wear that, but haven't been lucky yet. I want something that I can wear to church as well as on the cruise. Oh well, if I can't find the dress, I have my other outfit I can wear. I am going to try to get DH in a coat for formal night. He may refuse and just wear a dress shirt and tie like the kids. His excuse will be he is on vacation and doesn't want to pack the extra clothes. We will see what happens.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday.
