10/4/08-Buccaneers Take the West! Cruiser List in Post #1

Bumping us up to keep us on page one.

We can try for a late meet at the radisson, will have been a long day for the kids, will try to keep them up. We are leaving the house at 5am for the airport. They are still thinking we are going to the beach for the week, oh yeah, they dont know we are flying either. I am sure they will be ready for bed early, but I know I wont sleep because to excited for Sat. I am already having a hard time sleeping.

Off to try and sleep before work in the morning.

Only work 4 days this week!! Just looked at the 10 day forcast, we may get wet while we are gone, but will still be on the Magic.
Trying to get boys motivated, but they dont want to be up this morning. Off to fight that fight.

So much left to do... and only 3 days to do it in!!! Call me a glutton for punishment, but I scheduled a birthday dinner at my house for Avery on Tuesday night. Guess it will force me to have the house clean by Tuesday though, leaving Wednesday to pack and load the car.

Since we live in Orlando, I don't get to leave early and fly anywhere, or stay in a hotel, but my mom is flying in Friday night from California, so I'll just count down to that!

Hi fellow Buccs!

Only 2 days to work this week for me, Wed and Thurs.
Packing is completed for both Chris and I.
Now I just have to wait until Thurs at 4:30 when I am officially on vacation!
It has been a long time for us-we booked this cruise March 2007 and we thought it would never get here! I can't believe in a few days we will be leaving Philadelphia and heading to the Magic!
Hope everyone stays healthy. We have an outbreak of something going around at work so I'm glad I only work a few days a week!

I am so excited. FE's are completed. My kids "had" to help so I hope we somehow managed to get them close to right. Please forgive us if we didn't but with an 8 year old and 3 year old helping me stuff them, I can't promise anything.

So just what is our weather forcast for next week. I need sun!!!!! I hope to get everything in the suitcases tonight and be done!

Hey Everyone...we have run into a glitch in the system! My Mom started experiencing pain in her shoulder last week which got so bad I took her to the emergency room yesterday morning. Looks like she has some sort of injury to the rotator cup of her right arm (yes, she is right-handed). They gave her a prescription for pain and anit-inflamatory and I am taking her to see a specialist tonight. The mentioned a possible cortozone (?sp) shot. Right now she basically cannot move her right arm. I'm sure we'll be cruising, but I hope they can get my Mom straightened around so that she can enjoy the time. This was definately not in the plan! Wish us luck!

Wow hard to believe we fly out on Thursday night, only THREE more sleeps. Even more excited I got Wednesday and Thursday OFF WORK!

Fe gifts still need a little "work" but should have them ready and packed for leaving. Have to make my FE yet!

Jacquelyne, we booked in August of 2007, so I can understand your being anxious now! I dont' think I could have handled it booking in March 2007tho!

I work in an orthopeadic office and know that rotator cuff injuries can be very painful. Hopefully a cortisone injection will decrease her inflammation and she will be able to travel and then have surgery or what ever else is needed later. Use lots of ice and limit any type of overhead lifting or doing any activity that causes her to repeatedly use that arm. Hopefully a little rest will help.

I put off making my fish extender until this weekend because I had no idea what I wanted to do, what fabrics, patterns, etc. Well, I finally did it Sunday night, and it came out really cute.

Kari, LOVE the FE. You did a super job on it.

I finally gave in to a whim today and tried to find a sub for Friday afternoon. That means we can leave around 12 on Friday and possibly make it down to Cocoa Beach Friday night by 9 or so. That would be so great!!!

Four more sleeps and I'm outa here!!!

I booked a closer hotel for our Friday night in Orlando.

I figured what the heck, and booked the Hyatt! No shuttling, straight from the Plane to the Hotel, then up in the morning, breakfast, and over to the Disney part of the Airport.

I figure it's much easier as Im carting around an 8 year old, a 68 year old and a 76 year old!

This vacation will start off on the right foot!

*parents don't know, will tell them at the Airport when they will be like "hey let's go find the shuttle now" and I'll be like "oh, it's okay our hotel is right here!"

CanadianCruiser - the Hyatt is a great place to stay. I am staying there for my January 09 cruise. At checkin, make arrangements for the Hyatt staff to pick up your luggage outside your room.

The Glindamoods and us have been planning this cruise for more than 2 years. I booked it in December 2006!

Back to my list of to-dos for the week and last minute packing. We leave for Detroit on Thursday after work.

One more day down. DH and I are making our final list tonight when boys go to bed to be sure we have everything done. All packed except for the carryon for the flight which will have our stuff for sat morning so we dont have to get into the suitcases.
Off to finish homework and get boys to bed.

Getting my mani & pedi tomorrow. I am almost packed. Just have to do the last minute stuff tomorrow night. Now, I've got to go back and double check to see that I have everything I need.

DS has been in bed tonight with a migraine. He is better now. He has headaches occasionally. Thankfully, migraines are not very often. Hopefully he won't have one on the trip.

Only 2 more days of school for me. I don't know who is more excited about this trip-my kids or me . The next 2 days are going to be so long!!! The teacher next door to me has been laughing at me because I have been counting the hours until I leave.

Lori, hope you are able to locate a sub for Friday. I've had mine booked since last May. With this week being the last week before fall break, I knew I would have to book someone early, otherwise I would not be able to find anyone.
