10/31/10 Halloween Wonder

A
Well my kids are bringing 2 costumes, and we adults are just bringing the basic costumes, like a witch hat and a pirate eye patch. Plus since we are staying at Universal a couple of nights we have our Potter garb too.

I am not just getting around to checking out the dinner dress code and noticed jeans are not to be worn in the dinner. How true is that? or how strict is that? Do I need to pack day and evening wear for the cruise?

Thanks
:laundy:
As long as you are not in your bathing suit and cover up you will be fine. You'll be fine.
We are almost packed. Can't wait!

My DS9 has no idea that we are leaving for our 8th DCL cruise next weekend  it's so hard to plan and pack in stealth mode:cool2:..is anybody else making this a surprise??

Hi, everyone!! :wave2:

I am so excited to finally get to join ya on the Board!:woohoo: My hubby and I will also be on the the Halloween cruise. This will be our 8th cruise- our 2nd on Disney.

We can't wait to get the party started!!party: We loved the Magic (7nt W Caribbean) last year, but were sad to leave without visiting the Magic Kingdom::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo so we've booked a WDW/DCL combo this year.

We'll be in Orlando early Sat and can't decide what to do that afternoon. Head to Magic Kingdom? Or just relax and catch a nice dinner? Ideas welcome, especially since it is Halloween eve!

Only 7 days to Disney!!:goodvibes

No, there is no where to see the Electric Light Parade without being inside the Magic Kingdom we are annual passholders so we will just pop in for that. But there is some trick or treating going on Saturday night at DTD
On Oct. 30 and 31, Downtown Disney hosts trick-or-treaters for a free event from 5 pm to 9pm.

Children can dress up and collect candy at 20 different locations throughout Downtown Disney, Pleasure Island and West Side.

Guests can also enjoy a kids' DJ dance party at the Waterside Stage, a magician, storytellers, stilt walkers and more!

That would be free and fun to do. See you real soon
:)

Oooh, this is good to know. We might be at DTD on Saturday evening then. While we have annual passes, DSD and DGD do not and I really don't want to pay for a short evening at the park. This should be a nice alternative if we get down there in time. I'm hoping to take a half day on Friday. We also have some business in Ocala Saturday afternoon so DTD might be a nice distraction. :scratchin

Our house sitter is coming over tonight for her instructions. She is psyched she gets to house sit (our babysitter and good family friend) and we are psyched that we don't have to pay a kennel for 3 dogs!!! :cool1: :cool1:
Can't wait to get on the boat!!!

I am thrilled for my new husband and I to go on our first disney cruise together! We both love disney, so a disney cruise was an easy choice for our honeymoon. I was wondering if there are any other honeymooners who will be on this cruise?

We may not be honeymooners, but this will be our first vacation in 17 years that we are taking alone, no in-laws, no children, so it will be like our honeymoon.

Hi everyone! We have upgraded our category 9 room to a category 6 - GTY so our cabin number has changed. It should get assigned in the next day or 2. We will email everyone when we know our new cabin number.

Some people may have already left for vacation and not get the email but we can always confirm at the Dis meet or we can leave messages on voicemails when we arrive in our cabins.

We are looking forward to meeting all of you!!!

Two more days!!!! Just have to get thru two more days!! Of course I'm working till 10 tonight Tuesday and Wednesday!!!

Oh good heavens, my DD just woke up with her throat on fire. Ugh. Poor baby. Gave her cold meds and put her back to bed. She said "I can't believe I'm sick for the cruise." Told her it was just a cold (post nasal drip) and she'll be fine. Poor thing.
