If you have an 8:00 reservation can you still stay to watch from the patio? We always go near Christmas and it's always been 9:30, however we haven't been since 2012.

Wow, maybe nobody has ever tried to see the 10:30 illuminations from R & C. I guessit would be too long of a wait from their last seating. I can get a 7:45 for earlier in that week when it's at 9:30 but i didn't really want to choose Epcot for that night.

Sorry, I don't know, but there were so few times that IllumiNations was that late in the evening that it is possible no one reading this thread has seen it at 10:30 from R&C.

We often do late dinners in Epcot so by the time we're finishing the servers are setting up for the next day, but we have never been asked to leave. Currently, the dining reservation page shows R&C's dinner hours as 4:00 to 8:30 in late December. Just a guess, but if you are seated on the patio, I don't think they would ask you to leave and if you are seated inside you can probably wait in the viewing area adjacent to the patio.

I have the same question. We decided to book a dinner for R&C because my BIL really wants to eat there. Originally we were booked for lunch but then we thought it might be easier to schedule FP+ for the afternoon without that ADR. We just switched it to dinner at 8:05 and got excited when we read some threads on the great viewing opportunities R&C has for Illuminations. But then when I took a closer look, we realized that Illuminations will be at 10:30 that whole week. I also wasn't expecting it. We've been before at Christmas but not since 2012 as well. We will probably still keep the dinner and just see what happens. It will be a new dining experience for us so it should be fun!
