10/27 2012 A little Halloween MAGIC!

I am sitting here looking out at a hailstorm and gale force winds - I am soooo ready for next weekend!!!

Señor Frogs is definitely not kid friendly. I've seen free shots but never the waitress forcing themselves on men :-(

What's everyone doing in Cozumel? I was thinking since we will be sharing the port with three other ships, I might try to find something limited to a certain amount of guests...

I think DH and I will head to Chankanaab national park. Don't think we will swim with dolphins, but will take advantage of snorkeling (bringing our own gear, though you can rent it there too). The beach area was nice with lots of chairs, hammocks and shade!
Nachi Cocum is an all inclusive place that limits the number of people on their private beach. I have never been there but heard great feedback from other cruisers. :)

I was actually thinking of both of these. I just thought Chankanaab might be crowded. Nachi looks good, but I just read a thread about extra costs....:confused3

The ship excursions generally are there for the swim with the dolphins only. People that want the beach scene will often head to places like Paradise beach and just pay a la carte. Or they will do an all inclusive if they want to eat and drink. DH is not a drinker, and I would prefer to snorkel than drink. There is a cost to get in the park if you don't do a dolphin excursion ($21 I think) so hopefully that will deter people from enjoying their nice beach and pool at Chankanaab. :)

We are the same! I was thinking of just doing the park as well, it's a good price! Should we just wait and get tickets there?

OK, posting here. Regarding late shuttle...
DH keeps deleting my posts on FB...
We are staying at the Hilton on Friday night. We are driving, but were planning on leaving the car there since it is free.
I guess I could drive over and check in and then drive the car back and take the shuttle. That may work...is that allowable? Does everyone have to be there to check in? We could all go and then I could go by myself to drop the car back off, but then I'd have to park somewhere...oh what to do, what to do...

You can do that. They can't check in without you, or rather probably wouldn't want to but we always drop off people and the luggage and someone goes to leave the car in the parking. We just wait outside, patiently :rotfl2: When the driver is close to being back we get in line and they join us. I'm not sure how different this will be since Disney has you pick embarkation times, RC and Carnival are just a free for all.

We just finished buying our FE gifts last night! :cool1: I'm actually pretty crafty, but I didn't have time to craft it up for you guys. :rotfl2: Sorry! I hope it's okay that everything you will get from us is anti-homeade. :rolleyes1 We are getting SO EXCITED & I cannot wait for another cruise on the Magic!! See you in a week :beach:

Has anyone ever been in Mexico for Day of the Dead (11/1)??? Do you think Cozumel will be crazy that day?

I forgot about that!!! DH's birthday is that day :rotfl2:
Also, there will be three other ships there that day...
I guess that makes up my mind for nochi cocum since they only allow 100 guests. I hope they still have room :thumbsup2

We are in Galveston! We board the Carnival Triumph in the morning, then will be boarding The Magic on Saturday!
