My brother Chuck called at 4am and asked if his son could stay here today. Seems like his ex-wife's apartment was broke into overnight and the police told her to see if she could find somewhere else to stay for a couple of days. So, I'm sitting here waiting for my brother and nephew to arrive. Chuck starts work at 5am. This is going to be one very long day for me, I can see it now..................

Morning All.

I am writing on behalf of our friend Nancy, who many of you know hasn't posted in awhile.

She is in need, as well as her father, of your prayers. Nancy's father is not doing well and has been in the hospital for over a week now. Last week he took a fall and wasn't feeling well afterwards. They took him to the hospital to have him checked out. While there, he started to bleed internally. They still do not know the source of the bleeding and have taken him off of his blood thinners. This is not a good thing due to a heart surgery he had a few years back and what it could do to an artificial valve he has. He was moved out ICU on Christmas Day because there was nothing more they could do for him.

Nancy wanted everyone to know why she has not been on as of late and to ask for everyone's prayers for her father and herself. She is very close to her father and it is breaking her heart to go through this.

She has also asked, in an effort to keep the main thread upbeat, that people respond to her regarding this via PM. Her mailbox may get full as she is not getting around to DISing much the past few days.

Jen what do you want to know? I not exactly an expert but I do the area as where what hotel is where. If you want to stay across the street, the Desert Inn and suites isn't too bad and is a suite hotel so it has a microwave and fridge in the room, and literally right across the street. A lot of people like the Howard Johnson Hotel (never have stayed there but it is nice and has McD's and Mimi's cafe close by), it is across the street but about a block or so of a walk. If you will be there the week of Christmas or New Years make your reservations when you are able, kind of like going to WDW the hotels book up.

Yep, the first thing I need to figure out is the hotel. I want someplace not too expensive, but not a dive. I found a map of the area, and there are SO many hotels/motels near by! I don't know how I'm going to pick.

I know a lot of people stayed at the HoJo's before the 2005 repo cruise and a lot of people are staying there before the 2008 repo cruise, in fact we had a room booked for the HoJo's before we cancelled out on the repo cruise.
