didnt get many in KK1, so I will take this mini milestone and run with it...speaking of running, gotta get running to a friends house for the game...see you all later.

By all means then, go for them on each 1,000. I just made a suggestion. The group can do whatever the group decides.

I thought 1,000 posts isn't much of a milestone with this group. I only threw every 5,000 out because it would allow more chances. 10,000 would be more of a milestone for as many posts as we will put up on here.

It was a joke Jeff. I said earlier 5000 sounded good to me.

Hi Heather!

How's the weather across the pond? We got snow again last night in Wisconsin...third time it's snowed this week. I'm now tired of snow, and am longing for spring!

Glad to see you've booked! I think this is going to be a great cruise...just wish it was sooner!

No snow Jen, just a lot of rain and high winds.

Good morning everyone

I have had no time to go back and read since this thread has started. I made it as far as page 4 last night.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have completed the photo album from KK1. Now that is just a photo Album not my scrapbook. Now I can actually scrapbook in my free time.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Just a few christmas photos to keep you all going

More to come.

We are hoping to go see Santa today. He is outside and not sure how well that is going to be. Mackenzie is still not 100%. I would say she is about 80%, and I am about 70% but I really don't want to wait out in line while it is cold and raining. If we go I will try to post pictures tonight.

Anyone else get one of these?

Hey Steve

Did you book your air, transfers, and hotel through DCL again? I am trying to find a way to make this a cheap as possible for us. So I was trying to see if booking air on our own would be cheaper but of course they don't have the dates yet. Then I thought we could use DCL air, hotel, and rent a car for the day but I am not seeing how that would work either.

For all of you who had rental cars. Did you park your car and have to pay for it for the week we were on the ship, or is their a rental car place there to drop your car off and rent a new one for the trip home?

I think Scott is leaning on it being the two of us, we just don't have anyone that would be willing to Watch Mackenzie while we were gone and get her to school.

Candyman and Carrie?

I am trying. I know that it is not financially a wise move for us. But then again we do have 2 tax returns before then. Hmmm. I will have to mention that to Scott. I have a DIS VISA that I could book on right now for the deposit. Or issue is would it be 3 or 2 of us going. I am torn. I would really like to take the trip just Scott and I. But then care for Mac is getting slim to none at this point. I can not rationalize her staying in town and not going to school. Just does not make since to me. So why not just bring her but then that is more cost.

Scott seemed interested last night while I was paging him at work about it so I just need to keep working on him.

If we were to book for the 2 of us then we decided Mackenzie has to go, can we just add her on?

Well, I didn't do too bad booking my brother. He's got a $50 OBC from me using my Disney Visa and a $100 obc from DU. I'm pretty happy with that. I was hoping that since I was handing the ressie, I could get him the $50 CC OBC as well but DCL stated that it didn't work that way. Oh well, worth a try.

I doubt that I can get him to post here though. His brother is the blabby one, he on the other hand is very reserved.
:welcome: Steve's Brother!

i dont know but would we want to maybe try and get like a group magnet for our doors?

what do you think?
Have fun with it Rach, maybe come up with a everyday one and a cruise meet day one?

For all of you who had rental cars. Did you park your car and have to pay for it for the week we were on the ship, or is their a rental car place there to drop your car off and rent a new one for the trip home?

Carrie, We rented our rental through Avis this time. They were onsite at the airport and on cruise day Sean dropped me and Sarah off at the port so we could check in and then he went to the Cape Canaveral office and dropped off the car and took the shuttle back. It was very easy and cheaper that way. We all took the shuttle to the rental place after the cruise and went from there. We paid $50 for ea 1 day rental for a small SUV. Very easy and very econmical vs transfers and paying for a week for a car you won't be using on top of the per day parking fee.

So far I think Sean and I have decided to come in a few days early and go to the parks. Then go to the Cape on Friday and stay there.
Do you think we could figure out on a hotel we would all want to stay at and maybe shoot for a group rate?

I joined the 10/20 thread sort of late last time, so a lot of things had already been done by the time I arrived, such as the group name, "logo", etc.

Does anyone have the artistic talent to come up with a logo for this cruise? Something to use for t-shirt designs, etc. ????

Yes, I know we have a lot of time...just wanted to get some thoughts on this....

Cass did the last one. If I come up with any Ideas I'll work on them.

Nope. Here's how I plan to save money this time. First, the Disney Air is probably not that bad on price. I figure for the four of us it will be aprox $1500 (disney charged me $2000 and that included a night at the Hyatt and transfers... not too bad) But I'll be cashing in some Visa points for cash credit that I can apply to the air. I already have $200 accrued and think that I'll be able to add another $200 to that over the next year that I have before I have to book the air. So I'll save $400 there. I'll stay at a cheaper hotel, (Hopefully closer to the port) and that should save me a small amount then instead of the Disney transfers I think that I will be doing a towncar (savings of I think about $85) of course all of that is moot anyway since Disney will end up with the money... I'm planning on spending Halloween in the Magic Kingdom.

We are smack in the middle of an ice storm today ... woke up to about a 1/4 inch of ice on the grass and trees; and the roads are nassssssttttttteeeee!

I took some pictures and would post them for you all to see, but our power has gone out three times already this morning and I'm giving it up for now.

Hope all of you are warm and dry and safe and ice-free... except for your freezers and mixed drinks. ;)
