Hi There Jeff--I had to take Lina to the community center this morning so she could get her workout in. I should have stayed there with her, but I have enough walking around to do today, especially since I took off yesterday. I'll have to leave shortly to pick her up so I can come back home and get ready for work.
Wow, I'm impressed that your ST is up that early during the summer.
You probably should have stayed and worked out Andy. You'll just be running back there anyways after she done. But yes, you do, do a lot of walking on your job. I just sit all day and it definitely shows.
I did cut the grass with the walk behind last night, does that count? I'll have to calculate out how far I walk when I do that. My lawn mower has a 22" cut and my yard is approximately 158' x 258', without taking off for the house, drive or any gardens. It took forever, but with the ground/grass getting dry, I didn't want to take the rider/tractor out. The weight of it bends the grass too much and you see the lines from it for weeks. I may continue to cut by hand in the front the rest of summer. Gives it a better look. Don't care much about the back, only 2 neighbors can see that.
OK, just did some quick math, using only the gross area of my yard, it would be 141 passes at 158' per pass, so 22,278 feet. Given a mile is 5,280 feet, that would make it 4.2 miles gross. Take off for the house, drive, patio, and gardens, probably about 3 miles net (figure take 1/3 off, but that would error lower). Not a bad walk twice a week. However, it took way too long.
