Is any one watching the swimming trials. These kids are amazing. My youngest was a swimmer and this is so fun to watch.

Good evening all,

I've been trying to catch up! I've been at church camp for three days volunteering while DS was in a camp. I love going down there!

Glad to see so many people back on the boards!

I'll be popping in off and on--we have plans to go to the mountains for the Fourth. AFTER, I paint DD bedroom. I'll try to post some pics of all when things slow down again!

Holy Crap people, what's with all the posts? My last "real" post was around page 117, and I was still 10 pages behind at that time. So this means I'm almost 30 pages behind now.

Guess I'll just have to DIS all day on Friday when you all are celebrating the 4th.

A friend of mine was just telling me the other day about a fund raiser her church's youth group does all year long. The "Flamingo" yards.
Say I wanted to "Flamingo" Sean and Cath's yard. I would pay you a set price per pink flamingo ($2-$5) and then the group raising money would go at night while Sean and Cath were asleep and put all the pink flamingos all over their yard. I thought it was a really cute idea. It would be fun sneaking around decorating peoples yard at night. I'm not sure where they got the flamingos but I'm sure you could find something affordable where you all would still make money. As long as you could stake them in the ground. You could even do their school mascot (ex. tiger, bear, pirate) if you all have those over there.

Am guessing these people will struggle to recruit staff down in Texas

I still have lots more to do - we threw tons away when we moved, but we still bought tons more with us. I'm tackling it cupboard by cupboard etc. The charity shops love me at the moment

I seem to have found a way to combine 2 goals in one: cleaning and exercise! We are getting the carpets cleaned and had to clear out the main levels. SO.... many trips up and down stairs with boxes! I hope this helps my weight loss efforts!

Now, the basement is full of stuff. I'm not even 100% sure what kind of stuff. So, we will spend many days in the basement sorting out stuff.

As you can tell, basically we have TOO MUCH STUFF!!!!!

Joannel, GastropodTravels is my food and travel blog. I've got a bunch of restaurant reviews posted there from various WDW trips, a Vegas trip, and some places here around St. Louis.

Officially, a gastropod is a snail. But I picked it because it's a Simpson's joke ... Mr. Burns calls Homer a gastropod in one episode where he purposefully gains weight so that he can go on disability and work from home.

Since it seems like all Jay and I ever do on vacation is eat, it seemed like a funny name for the blog.

Brenda - I havent abandoned reading your "fab foodie" write ups - I just cant read them while I'm dieting - it would be pure hell reading about proper food whilst sipping my slimfast

It happens here also. I took part in it once. It was fun until some one stepped in dog poo trying to set them up in the dark!!!

Well, good morning people. A miserable grey start to the day here. I'm up at stupid o clock today - couldnt sleep past 4.30am, so I finally gave up.

The school meeting went well last night. We raised just under $10,000 from the school funday

We have discos and fashion shows before term ends, so busy busy busy.

I might suggest a penny trail next. Its easy and usually brings in quite a lot of £££.
