Hi Jeff!!!!

It has rainned here pretty much all weekend, which really stinks cause it is a long weekend. Apparently tomorrow won't be too bad. We put down grass seed a few weeks ago and it is just starting to come in so the rain isn't horrible I just wish it was through the week and not on the weekends;)

It usually ends up being crappy out Memorial Day Weekend (next weekend) here, but the forecasts look pretty decent for Fri and Sat right now.

The only rain I see on the forecast is Tues or Wed.

Usually I don't want rain, but we need it.

Has anyone here looked into the Adventures by Disney. Scott and I were looking at the Provence/Paris one today for 2010. Just wondering if anyone knew of anybody that had taken one and if they thought it was worth the money. I have been over reading thoses threads and everyone seems to have loved it. Just wondering.

Well, the sun went in pretty quickly but its been dry all day.

Neils friend who fought and won the battle against leukemia was running a 10k race today so we went to cheer him on.

We also got a lot of work done in the garden. The log rolls are now along the back border, I've shifted a ton of soil to fill it up and a lot more plants are in. A load of wasps were chasing me round the garden:scared: I think they were nesting in a pot *** as I pulled out the plant the things just swarmed round me. I got my own back though - I managed to kill about 5 - yeah I know....waspkiller:eek: ...nature blah blah blah...but it was them or me... and I survived.:rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

:scared1:
You're so brave!
I HATE THOSE THINGS! I'd have been crying screaming hysterically and then passing out!

I run in the house if I see even 1 fly past me!

KILL THEM ALL KAREN:thumbsup2

Hey everyone - hope you all had a great weekend! We finally had two days in a row on a weekend with dry, beautiful weather. Jay was finally able to get the garden planted ... that means we won't see another drop of rain until October.

I've updated the blog with a breakfast / lunch review of a restaurant at Mandalay Bay called Red White & Blue - it's traditional American food ... nothing too fancy. Come by and visit us when you have a chance ... it's one of the few non-weird and scary places that we dined at in Vegas.

Hi everyone!

Just got caught up on thread 7 - I didn't go back to finish reading thread 6. I hope I didn't miss anything important!

My family dinner went well - all the food turned out really well...everyone raved aboutr my chicken and the crab appetizers I made.

Today, we went to a local renaissance festival. This is the third year they've done one here in Janesville. We went the first year and it was pretty small, then missed last year. It has grown quite a bit since the first year and they had quite a few more performers and activities. Thomas liked the storyteller and puppet show they put on in the children's area, and he got a knight's tunic and "Robin Hood" style hat to wear (We're the Bank of Thomas, Andy!:lmao: ).

My mom volunteered to babysit for us so we could go to the Narnia movie tonight, but we were too tired. It should be in the theaters for a while.

Good Night BOBers and good luck to the BOBers who will be trying to get their reservations and excursions for the Repo Cruise...........:thumbsup2

See y'all in the morning..........:wave2:

Hi everyone back from the inlaws. Sean's mom's side of the family. His cousin made paella (sp?) was very good, in fact she and the catering co. she works for was just filmed for a throwdown with Bobby Flay. You'll have to catch it in July to see what happened.

Jeff, I sent you a PM about brunch.

Hi Becky.

I got it and responded.

Just over an hour now. :cool1:

Suz and I can not come to a conclusion on Cartagena. She wants one of the beach breaks ($218 for less than 2 hours on the beach) and I want one of the city tours (not sure which one and she is of no help at this time).

I'm to the point now of not booking anything there, but I think I may regret that. I'm leaning towards the one with the Fortress, but not sure about the 4.5-5 hours. It's going to be HOT down there.

The only reason we are doing the fortress is because that is one of the must see places for Sean, and it is there for more than 15 min that the other ones do.

The other 2 only stop on the outside, the one you're looking at goes in.

I'm thinking of that one just because I think DS will be bored otherwise with the whole tour.

Are the other 2 basically the same? I know one has 30 min shopping while the other has 60 minutes. Suz says she only needs an ornament, so shopping isn't a big thing.

I'll probably do "Best of" as my back-up.

shopping isn't my thing, and I collect ornaments as well. His thing was actually being able to tour the fortress, I think but am not sure if they visit one of the churches, which is what I wanted to do.

Not part of the big group. Not sure if Heather or Becky will meet up with any of them, but I doubt Chris or I will.

Nope...don't intend to unless someon organises a scrapbooking swap. Will stay with the Creme de la Creme.

What a DISASTER this online booking is tonight.

Yep...I agree with you Jeff. Took just over 1hr 15mins to get all our ressies done. Such a frustrating time....think it could've been cause you and Becky were on line and as we're linked will only accept one booking at a time.:headache:

The excursions we booked were:

Cabo St Lucas - Talofa Tall Ship
Puerto Valarta - Extreme Amphibian Adventure
Acapulco - City Tour and Cliff Divers
Cartagena - City Drive, Shopping & La Popa
Aruba - Half day beach & Jeep

Now I'm wacked.

I'm going back to bed...only had 2hrs 30 mins sleep.:scared1:

Glad you got your excursions.

There were NO Palo Brunch slots available. NONE.

Lots of Dinners though.

We finally got all excursions except the one in PV. Suz really want to go on the Las Caletas beach one. She doesn't want to book anything else there.

We couldn't do 2 excursions in Cabo because of time conflicts, so we're only doing the Land's End tour.

Got everything else. :cool1:

Karen, I see your light on. How often are you and I on at the time you wake up?
