Wow now my sister that lives in northern WI is on the phone so I'm going to get going so I can talk to her. That means I get to talk to all 3 of my sisters today and I talked to one of my brothers today too. It must be family day.

Here's some :wizard: pixiedust: :grouphug: that all of you that are not feeling well get to feeling better quickly!

:scared: :scared: i guess all you can say is hopefully no one got hurt.

Yes, because just a few hours before this happened, Angelina and a bunch of other people were in auditorium for their musical practice. We're waiting to see in we can find out any other info on the 10 or 11 o'clock local news.

A Fox News reporter on the 10 o'clock news was just reporting live from the front of the high school. The auditorium roof was blown off and is laying on top of the band room roof. Looks very bad on the TV, I'll have to try and check it out tomorrow morning one it gets light outside.

I have been sprung

Hello everyone. Just taking a break from the garage and working on the house some. It is time to clean my desk so I thought I could multi task for awhile.

Angelina just got a call from a friend of hers, letting her know that part of the high school roof, over the auditorium and cafeteria, were blown off from the high winds that went through our area a little bit ago.

I had to go outside and chase our trash cans as they were being blown down the street. Now, the temps have dropped from 61* this afternoon, to 46* at the current time, they will be down in the 20's overnight. Spring forward, yeah right................

Luckily, we didn't lose power, but I heard that several parts of our town did lose power, and are still out.

Good thing that it happend today instead of while school was in session. I am glad no one is hurt. What will they do about school on Monday?

This one is for all you BOBers that have stayed near Disneyland.

I'm looking for a decent NON-Disney hotel near Disneyland. I don't want the HoJo, so don't mention that one.

There are so many in that area, it is crazy looking at them all. I'm waiting to see if Paradise Pier goes on sale, but want an alternate. We got it once over a weekend in July 2 years ago for $135/night. :woohoo: I'll have to check Expedia in June for that one.

Jeff,
Desert Inn and Suites, is decent, and right across the street from the main entrance. We used to stay there all the time. There is also Camelot Inn which used to be Park Inn and Suites. It looks nice and one of the newer ones on Harbor, and still right across the street.

Hope all are staying safe in the nasty weather you are having. We spent the day visiting Sean's grandmother in the hospital. She is doing better, but still has kidney failure and is on dialysis, and they replaced her defribulator with a pace maker. She is basically paying the price for doing everything you are not to do when you are a diabetic.
Sean wanted to thank you for all the pixie dust and prayers that you gave for her, and thank you for the birthday wishes.

Jeff, per Becky's recommendation the Desert Inn and Suites is where we are staying when we go in June.

I just saw on the 11 o'clock news that school will take place as usual on Monday, but the auditorium will be off limits until repairs can be made. It was reported the entire 100' x 250' section of the outer layer of roof and insulation was ripped off by the winds. The cement supports are in good shape, but a great deal of rain water did leak into the auditorium. I picked Angelina up from musical practice a little after 12pm and this happened around 5pm. It was reported that no one was in the school when this happened, which was a very good thing!!!

OK, I'm heading off to bed, with the time change, our clocks are now reading 12:15am tomorrow morning, instead of 11:15pm tonight..................:rolleyes1

Good morning everybody:goodvibes

Happy Sunday to you all:goodvibes

Its sunny and cold here.

Hey Darkside BOBers: what are you all thinking of doing in Puerto Vallarta?

I was looking at the beach or hotel break, but for the cost, it seems like it would be cheaper just getting a room at an all-inclusive for the day.

My hold back is if the ship can't get there. I may book it online once we're on the ship and I know we will get there fine. Last EB Repo they were out running a hurricane and skipped Cabo. Guess the seas were rough too - 25'-30' waves. :scared1: :scared:

Jeff - there wasn't much on the excusion list that I fancied, but Rick wants to do the Extreme Amphibian Adventure...I think we end up at a beach somewhere. At least if they don't make shore, we get our $$$ back.

O.K. Darkside BOBers (DBOB's),

Whatcha planning for Cabo? I see there are private villas for up to 12. What do you think one of those would run us. Needless to say, the price is NOT on the DCL website.

We've never been to Cabo so we'll probably do some type of city tour and then the beach.

OK...for Cabo, this is my choice. Tallofa Tall Ship. I have to say that there isn't a lot of choice at any of the stops that we are desparate to do, but Disney are cheaper than any of the other shore trip companies.

The only other hotel we've stayed at was the Clarion Hotel and it was really comfortable. No idea the $$ rate as it was all part of our tour.
