Good morning people

A nice lazy day here today - a miserable and grey and rainy bank holiday - as usual - its never sunny on a bank holiday

Toady we have baking cakes and playing scalextric planned for this morning, then the park (if it ever stops raining).

Karen - glad to hear you finally got a deal on a camera! You'll have to take some practice pics and post them.

Cant wait for it to arrive - 24 hour courier service - should be tomorrow

Thank you and to everyone else that sent their thoughts and prayers. Sean's grandmother passed away this morning. She was a wonderful woman, and thankfully is at peace now.

That's three weeks worth of groceries in our house!!!!

My nerves are shot, being the dad of a teenage girl is very tough. I don't want to worry anyone, Lina is OK, it's just high school peer pressure stuff that's got her all upset. It's just tough as a dad to see her have to deal with this, knowing there isn't much I can do to help.

But if you said it is like a Fridays or Applebee's then you guys drank a lot.

AHhhh, she ok? I remember those teenage years so well. They were really rough.
How old is she now?

17 years 8 months

Yes, Lina is OK, she is just driving mom and dad crazy that's all.

First she is going to the Senior Prom, then a week later, she's not going to the Senior Prom, weeks go by, now her friends are trying to talk her back in to going to the Senior Prom and it is only 11 days away. Poor kid is so confused as to what she wants to do and drove her to tears last night.

And to top everything else off, "Aunt Martha" decided to pay her a visit yesterday.........

"Skinned Knees"? That would mean you're bawling in pain. Maybe a kid who can't find their stuffed animal? (although that can be very traumatic as well)

thanks we both are exhausted. We were at a Harley Bike rally since Thursday. We worked as band roadies. We had a great time. We got to see Mustang Sally and the Beach Boys. Walt is already asleep. We didn't mind the $300.00 bill, but when food only costs under $10.00 for each person, that means there was waaaaay too much alcohol consumed. Actually, only Tony, Jesse, Karen and John (Jesse's folks) drank. (I had one LandShark.). That means between 4 people they made up for the alcohol bill of almost $200.00! And Jesse probably only had 2 beers.
