That came in with my digital camera as well, but I've never used it, so I really can't comment on it.

magic returns. 5 am before kk1.:grouphug:
it was one of those moments you just always remember.

Well kids, sorry for the quick stop. Gotta run out to the store.

I though a while about my 5000th post:scratchin
About what I should say:confused3
I thought a poem might be quite fitting :goodvibes
on this momentous day:rotfl:

I could talk about the great friends I've made:grouphug:
Some KK'ers and some Bobbers:grouphug:
I could even talk about the other people:rolleyes1
like Dawg and Tart - the ebay camera robbers!:rotfl:

I could talk about the fresh ones
and the milestones that we chase
I could talk about the photos we post
that bring a smile upon my face:goodvibes

But no......... I'll talk of none of those
I thik I've said enough
So .......all I really want to say is...........

Fluff FluffFluffFluffFluffFluff!!!!:rotfl2:

karen, that is one of the funniest things i've read in a while.
it made my day.

Don't you hate that they're changing everything? Next thing you know, the Dole Whips will be all fat free yogurt! :scared:

My feeling is that they should offer you a choice. Yeah, I know it comes down to a cost thing but really, how many people eat a hot dog with a whole wheat bun??? :confused3 I could eat a hot dog every day, but they are not good for me so I don't. But when I go to WDW, I like to indulge and have some bad food, it's my vice :goodvibes

I've never had a Dole Whip, but I seem to see alot about them, I guess I'm really missing out on something, eh? :confused3

I don't even like pineapple and I love them!!

By the way...here's the menu from the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland in Disneyland...

Fresh Pineapple Spear $2.50

Dole Whip Float $4.50

Pineapple Dole Whip $2.75

Dole Pineapple Juice $2.25

Dole Fruit Bowl $2.50

:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Good morning to all.

We had another day of bride dress shopping to no avail. :sad1: That girl is just too darn picky. She's going to end up wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt if she doesn't find something soon.

Jesse's parents threw an Engagement party for everyone at a resort yesterday and we did have a lot of fun. We went out for dinner but the place was swamped with prom goers, so we had to wait over 1 hour for tables. The waitress was crappy, the food was lousy and cold, and Chuck and I footed the entire bill. YIKES!! 9 adults with alcoholic beverages, appetizers, dinners and desserts.

Anyone want to guess the final bill (including mandatory 18% tip)?

But, great conversation and time spent with family is truly priceless, right?
:lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc :lovestruc

I'm really hoping for a little down-time today though. I sure could use a day with nothing to do....except work on my DIStag gifts! :rotfl2: (Really). :lmao:

Hmm I will guess $530 :rolleyes1

Yeah, that didn't happen on the first wedding, nor will it happen with this one.

Stacy's parents didn't chip in a red cent so we paid for the dinner/reception.

Jesse's folks are paying an unbelievable amount of money for his sister's wedding later this month, so that bank has run out for K&J. We're on our own on this one. :upsidedow

Wow, that is just rude Nancy. How could they possibly not pitch in a cent and then think they have a say in it???? :confused3

But I know some in-laws that are just like that :rolleyes1 ;)

I was also calculating the Darkside's posts, since they just past 100,000 yesterday.

Granted they had over 5,500 posts before a DIS Meet thread can technically open (can't open it until the cruise can be booked per the DIS Board rules. They opened on 1/13/07 but couldn't book until 1/31/07).

Anyhow, they got their 100,000th in about 15.75 months.

Their rate is faster, but with about 17.5 months for us to go, it will be close. We will pick up the pace as we get closer (we were clipping along on KK in the last 2-3 months). Also, we're moving along faster now and they are nearing the 105 and 90 day marks (i.e. all the postings regarding excursions).

Not sure where we'll end, but if we take the 25,000 every 5 months approach, we'd be near 110,000-115,000, given we don't pick up steam in the final few months (which I think we will).

So maybe 125,000 for us? :confused3

And they have way more people posting that us, right??

What was Stacy's parent's beef? No money, or didn't support the marriage?

They have money, they'd just rather spend it at a casino.

BTW, you should give that excuse to Kristin that the well has run dry because of Tony's. See what the reaction is. :rotfl:

She knows better. :)

Hello?

Is everyone waiting to get post 774?

In case you're wondering, #774 on Thread #6 is the 25,000th BOB post.

:cheer2:

Yep that's the one. Thanks for posting it Andy!

You can always watch them tonight :thumbsup2

Time please? (CST). :upsidedow

I'm late to the party but how in the he!! does the bride's family not pony up for the wedding???

Traditional etiquette demands that the brides's family pay for almost everything with the exception of the rehearsal dinner and honeymoon. Unless the bride and groom pay themselves.

My parent's wrote us a check when we got engaged and said, "that's what you get ... you want to spend more then it's coming out of your pocket."

Fair enough ... Jay and I matched their dollar amount and we were fine.

I know, each situation is different, but I can't beleive her parents didn't do anything. They're alive, right? They're healthy, right? They're financially viable, right?

:confused3 Blows my mind.

Yes, still alive, still healthy, both work full-time and yup, I'm sill a tad bit bitter about it, but what are ya gonna do? T&S really appreciated everything we did for them though. Those kids did an amazing job putting everything together on a strict budget.

I'm with you B. If the Bride's parents don't chip in, and the Groom's does, then they have NO say in things.

I hinted around at the same thing Jeff. I guess I wasn't loud enough. :scared1: I do believe that Karen & John (Jesse's folks) will come through and help them out a little though. I'm hoping, anyway. They're really good people, it's just that their daughter spent an obscene amount of cash on her wedding and they're a little tapped out now. :flower3:

O.K., so here's part 1 of my calculation. We hit 25,000 posts in almost exactly 5 months.

We started on 12/4/07 at 7:13 a.m. CST. I put up the 25,000th post on 5/4/08 at 8:15 CDT. Take away the 1 hour for Daylight Savings Time, and it was almost exactly 5 months to the MINUTE.

Cool. :yay:

Oh Nancy! Sounds like Stacy is lucky to be a part of your family. You and Chuck are very loving and generous parents. All 4 of them are lucky to have you in their lives!!

Awwww, thanks Shelley. We're lucky to have them though. A true gift from up above. :cloud9:  :cloud9:

Oh!:yay: - thats our wedding anniversary too:yay: 11/22/1993. We met 11/22/1988 - got married five years to the date exactly.:lovestruc

Great! You guys can celebrate together then. And, I know just the place to do it. It's called TheBashOnTheBoat!! :cheer2:

Neils home soon...we did some painting today and made welcome home daddy posters:goodvibes

He's also got his favourite dinner later......I KNOW, i KNOW.... I'M THE PERFECT WIFE:lmao: - NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karen, with all that painting you're doing, did you notice that your house is getting smaller inside? :rotfl2:

The t-shirts were nice, but since my name isn't Sarah, they won't do much for me........... :rotfl2:
Bad Andy............

:lmao:

I GOT IT

Hey Mike, did I ever tell you (or did you notice) that one man in the scavenger hunt and his wife were cheating? They must have been at the earlier show and went back to their cabin to pick up props. They had everything set up on a chair next to them. I thought Robin might have noticed it but I'm not sure.
