Hey there Jeffy!

We lucked out after this morning's batch came through. There was a cold front that came in with a bunch of dry air and the storms that were supposed to re-form this afternoon couldn't find any moisture and just died out.

It's a beautiful evening now, but really windy and the temps are dropping back into the 40s ... again. This has been the weirdest six months of weather I've seen in STL in a long time.

You guys didn't have any rough weather did you? Eveyone's OK?

Hazel is on the phone right now with Ray. Ray is doing OK, but can't go back on the road until he gets clearance from the doctor. More tests have to be run also.

I was talking to Lina tonight about the cruise again, and she said to go ahead and add her to the ressie. I'm sending an e-mail to our TA to have Lina added as soon as I am finished posting this message............

I know you will probably get to this on your blog, but how did you enjoy Mandalay Bay?? I will be booking our hotel next month and it's one of the contenders. Did it feel hoity-toity at all???

Lina came in tonight from the talent show at her school and as we were talking she said something like, "Yeah, you and mom are going to Florida and on a cruise and leaving me home alone." To which I replied, "Yo, I asked if you wanted to come and you said no." To which she said, "I did?"

We loved Manadalay Bay ... it's beautiful but not at all stuffy; it was very relaxed and welcoming. We also really liked the hotel layout - they did a nice job of circulating the air in the casino so that the smoke was kept to a minimum. And they had a ton of different restaurants to choose from.

We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Good to hear! Thanks Bendy! I noticed that all the big casinos did a good job with the smoke issue. Even Rob, who can't stand the smell of smoke, didn't once complain about it when we were there. Normally when we're in WDW, he's the guy telling people you can't smoke here...I call him the cigarette police ::cop:

My mom and I have been down near Grills to watch the Magic sail up the channel a couple of time in the early morning hours, it is so peaceful and quiet that time of day, and oh yeah, DARK!!!

On the KK1 cruise this past October I woke up and sat on the verandah and watched as we cruised up the channel and docked. You are correct when you say it's peaceful. A little rainy but peaceful non the less.

It's hard to tell if you or Cheryl has this now. I added Lynn and myself (Chris) to staying at the port the night before the cruise. Cheryl, I owe you one for getting up early to see the Magic coming in. Last time we were going to watch Magic's arrival but I slept in : and you got up early.

We're only there for 13 days this time so we wont have time. We'll probably do it next October.

Karen, do you mean that you went to Cove Cafe and took the free food they have sitting in the case for their paying customers and you didn't purchase a drink???
