At our school they have a Junior-Senior Prom at the end of every school year. Only Juniors and Seniors can attend, unless the Junior or Senior invites either an Underclassman or someone that is already out of high school, but I think they have an age limit of 22 years. Lina is a Senior this year and will be graduating next month on June 17th. Another emotional night for mom and dad. ;)

When she graduates does that mean she had finished high school and is going to college. I find the American system a bit confusing,:confused3 or maybe its my old brain not working.
Have you go the sunshine over there, *** we sure dont have it, could you send it back please.:thumbsup2

I had to stop and DIS for awhile as my brain is fried. After watching the video, I started to balance the checkbook. Well, somewhere between balancing it last month and today, I somehow came up with the statement showing I have $400.00 more in our account than what I show in the checkbook. It drives me  if I am even .01 off from balancing the checkbook, you can't imagine what this is doing to me........

I'm going to go back to the checkbook in a little bit, but I really needed a break!!!

Yes, when she is finished with high school, then she can go on to college. However, as of right now, Lina is planning on starting Massage Therapy School in September. It is a 6 month course, going 5 hours a day, 4 days a week.

Yes, we have PLENTY of sunshine with hardly a cloud in the sky and temps in the 70's F.

OK, Hazel asked me to drive her to CVS to pick up some presciptions. Hazel has been busy getting all our clothes and meds in order for our trip this coming Wednesday.

Signing off for now.........:wave2:

tatty bye !!!:rotfl2:

well who is there now to talk to.
dont come on all the time and when i do im all alone:sick:
must pick the wrong time of day, didnt come on last week as it was glorious sun but of course thats gone now.
next weekend is a bank holiday weekend and the kids are off school for a week so lets hope the weather improves for that. Off to devon for the week, should be fun, in a static caravan on an organic farm. Put on those wellies and pick your own eggs!!
Not really an outdoor sort of girl but it will be fun.

The neighbors will really think I have gone crazy :crazy2: salting the dandelions and "washing" the grass :rotfl2: I wonder if the Tide would work for those brown spots we sometimes get from Belle :dog:

We are back, obviously.
You can put Tide into Belle's food and have a self serving application of both.:rotfl2:

Hello from cold and grey england.
Cass - great bobigator, you are soo talented, will send you a picture shortly, thanks for the link
Andy - Lina is so beautiful, she doesnt look much like a teenager in that dress!! Is prom night when they finish high school?
In england we have prom nights too now and it is when the kids are leaving school at 16, either to go on to further education or out into the world of work.

Lynn and I know what you mean when you say cold and grey England. We spent four years stationed in Londinderry, Northern Ireland 1972 to 1976. At least there were not any insects and such. Have great memories and enjoyed the time very much.

No we dont get bugs or mosquitos as its never consistantly warm enough, not sure if they get them down south of england. we are up the north west of england so our weather is very much like irelands. i have never been to northern ireland!

i bet you all come on now that i am going to log off.
Going to check out a resort in lanzarote, been invited on a girls week away in november.

chris,
i see that you live in new york, where is hamlin?
i love new york, its my favourite city:thumbsup2

We are in the western part of the state. Between Rochester and Buffalo. If you are not familar with western New York then we live about 70 miles from Canada, or Niagra Falls. As for New York City, it is about 300 miles Southeast of us. In fact we upstate people refer to the Big Apple as another state. We upstate people always make it a point to differentiate between us and the city folks. When we board a Disney ship and they ask us where we are from so they can announce us we always indicate Hamlin, New York State. When I was a teen we lived on Long Island, not far from JFK airport. Hamlin is a very small town of about 4,000 people. It is the proverbial one stoplight town. It has a few gasoline stations, I think Petro in England? and just as many pizza places. That's about it. A lot of farm land around. Nice pleasant country setting. How about your end? I remember getting into being a soccer fan, on the TV, tellie. Liverpool fan. :woohoo: Even enjoyed cricket.
In short, we loved Northern Ireland. :cloud9:

Thanks for explaining, its sounds so nice where you live.
We live in Burnley, a small town in north west lancashire, not to far from liverpool or manchester - you will have heard from them. they are in the premier division. Our local football club you may have seen on the tellie is Burnley Football Club, nowhere near as good as the likes of liverpool.
We live about 5 minutes from town but it is quite rural where we live. At the back of our house we have open fields,a bridle path for the horses and a fishing lake. It is very hilly where we live so the rain is always having over the hills.
Did you make it across to England when you lived in Ireland, did you like their accent?

We did not get to England. Only in transit between the states and N.I. whenever we took some time away from the Navy to visit our family's in New York and Wisconsin. In fact, my father was disappointed we did not get to Glasgow, Scotland. That is where he was born.

Hey guys, looks like you'll be coming to an end here soon.

I've got #7 started. Here is the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1828307

If some one could make sure it is posted on the last page, that would be great. I won't be on most likely when they shut this one down.

Don't run over to #7 just yet. I don't think the Mods would appreciate us posting on two threads at one time. Once they give you the "done" signal, head on over.

And NO, I did not go for stealing the first page again.

Well, I guess I better poke my head in and introduce another cast of characters that will be cruising with you all in Oct.

We are Duane (me), Claudine (DW), and Ashleigh (DD, 11) Miller.

We are from the Raleigh NC area. And are DIS nuts like the rest of you. We met Cheryl, Al, and Rachel two years ago on the October cruise. In fact I remember meeting Cass here at the DIS before they had to cancel that particular cruise. Cass, its good to meet you again!

We look forward to meeting you all, and getting to know you over the next several months that lead up to the sail date.

Duane

Hello There Duane, Claudine, and Ashleigh.
This is Chris and Lynn. We are the couple who did not make the cruise two years ago when you met up with Al and Cheryl. I was the one who got sick the day before boarding and had to return home. I see Cheryl has seen your post. She has informed us that you would be joining us this time around.

Chris

looks like its just me and you then chris.

we are there in july this year after we have been to virginia to vist scott and lori.
we also went two years ago at christmas as it was our birthday treat to ourselves.

Sorry Jeff, I forgot about the 250 #:guilty:

I have to ask, I have seen FO a few times now so I gotta ask....what is it????

Cheryl: Thank you for getting me on the Radisson list!!!!

Nancy: DH is Mike and DD is Kaitlyn.

I have told here there is a kids thread so I am sure she will get over there soon. She is going to a big 16th B-day party tonight so she is "just sooooo busy right now":lmao:
