10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) -Thread #6

I will probably look into this cruise since it is of interest to me.

The other one we're looking at for August 2009 would be Alaska. We'll have to wait and see what type of toll the Repo has on my work schedule. My busiest time of the year is July and August.

We are very interested in an Alaskan cruise, but unsure if we want to do that one with kids or not. After all my fuss about missing my kids . . . I'm a complex woman.:rotfl:

What I mean is that I can't imagine our DD and DS enjoying all the scenery which would be the reason we would go. That may be a 25th wedding anniversary trip for us. There are just so many places we want to take the kids: skiing out West, NYC, Patriots game . . . and of course we can't forget all the WVU bowl games!

Sorry I rambled. Alaska would be lovely!

Hey now, I've been grading papers--my last essay assignment of the school year! It's all down hill from here. Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

By the way, I was referring to myself;) ;) ;)

I never log out, so my light will show even if I'm not on the boards:goodvibes

Hi, Jen, with your birthday party creativity --have you seen anything wonderful for a basketball party? I'm considering one for DS for his 8th in June.

I can understand not wanting to do an Alaskan cruise with kids...and I can also understand not wanting to leave the kids at home :goodvibes

That's one reason why we enjoyed our first cruise so much....Thomas loved the clubs, so Pete and I got some time to ourselves. But i wouldn't want to leave him home...I want him to see lots of places...

Great photos! Looks like you had a great time.

Question for Cass (or anyone else that knows...)

How did you find those aerial maps? I would love to find a good one of the DL hotels area so I can pinpoint where our hotel is in relation to the entrance.

Thanks!

Nancy answered this...were you able to find your maps??

Cass, can you use the pic of all of us in front of the flower tigger for the BOB site? Just let me know if I have to send it through email or if you can just get it somehow from here. Thanks.:thumbsup2

No problem, I will get it done later :thumbsup2

He'll be 2, so he does have a charge of some sort. But I was just about to have a heart attack when she told me the price.

LOL....I'll stick to the CAT6 we have.
And you have no idea how badly I wanted to do a REPO this year!!!! I hope there is something special in 2011 when we will cruise again (after the BOBr, of course).

Melody, I know how you feel...it just KILLED me that we couldn't do the repo this year. When we couldn't do the first one, I swore we would do the next one if there was one. Just didn't have the money or time off for Rob. :sad1:

I was very sad on the weekend when the Magic left, that's the one I wanted to book. :sad2: I hope to be one the next one for sure ::yes::

Walt & Di, great pics!! Di, that's a great one of you in front of the flowers at Epcot :thumbsup2

Wow, slow night on the thread

Lori, I added your pic to the Bober site. :thumbsup2

Only three missing pics now :rolleyes1 hint hint nudge nudge

I know ours is one of the pictures you are missing. I am hoping to get a good one of the 3 of us next month when we are on vacation and then will get it to you if that is OK. Rach says she can photo shop her friend into a picture :confused3

I wish. Walt and I had a fantastic time. ate everywhere. kona cafe for tonga toast. ate at wilderness lodge twice at their special cafe. breakfast and dinner. ate at Victoria and Alberts. nice but way overpriced. Tusker house for character breakfast. Brown Derby for dinner. Went to all four parks. had a blast. Went swimming twice at the hotel. The lodge was beautiful and comfy but still we did not spend enough time to make up the difference in money between all stars and there. Walt and I had a great anniversary. We ate at Victoria and Alberts. rode all modes of transportation. The boat from the lodge is very handy. Quick and convenient. Almost did everything at every park. Walts brothers granddaughter was in High School Musical at Hollywood Studios. We had a great time watching her dance. She had a great part. I went on Tower of Terrors. It was fun. saw alot of the shows. really we had a great time and wonderful anniversary weekend. Walt sure does know how to have a well planned and fun time. Wished we got to meet up with Lori and family but never did. I looked around for them everywhere we went. Lori you look great. Keep up the hard work. Diane

Welcome back! It sounds like you guys had a great time, great pictures :thumbsup2

The segway was very easy! It's all just leaning! However, Philip couldn't get off without help! It rolled everytime he tried.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Glad to hear you liked the Segway. Al tried them at Innoventions at EPCOT last year and thought they were really cool. I'm going to book him on one of the Segway tours for our trip in Dec., he just needs to decide if he wants to do the one at EPCOT or at Fort Wilderness.

I know Thrifty is across from Avis, but have not heard anything good about them.

Hertz is in the area I thought.

What about National? They usually are paired with Alamo. I believe the Car Care Center in WDW is for both Alamo and National. Maybe I'm wrong.

National is in Cocoa Beach but they don't have a shuttle to the Port. I checked on that not too long ago.
