With the cost of airfare the way it is...(the tix for mke to phx in Dec. have shot up to over $400 ) I think I will have to stick closer to home.

Oh well, I still have Door County, WI in July to look forward to...and we did find a very nice sandy beach last year! Mom called me last week and told me she bought a little pop-up beach sun shade for the trip...perfect for me and the munchkin (who have to bathe in sunscreen)!

Yeah, they call it a "summer house" when in reality it's twice the size of mine at home and probably costs 5 times more. 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, indoor and outdoor kitchens, blah blah blah. Chuck and I have stayed there a few times for a quick getaway. Funny thing is is that there are no tv's in the place. We went during the basketball playoffs one year and couldn't watch them. We ended up going to a bar in town to watch.

Such a beautiful place and no tv? I must have my priorities mixed up.

I know - some of the places up there are really beautiful.... (but I think I would still have a TV, for rainy days! )

I really like it up there - the place we stay is very peaceful. Sigh...maybe I should add a ticker for that trip to make me feel better

Hey, I got mail from DCL today. I sent the "Memories of Walt" certificate to Don "Ducky" Williams to have him autograph it, and it arrived back in the mail today, it sure did brighten my day!!!

I know someone in Guest Services and I sent the certificate to him, he said Ducky was thrilled with the request to autograph the certificate. We should be getting our framed lithograph back from AC Moore by the end of this week...

Yesterday's bridal shower for Jesse's sister lasted from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm! With 90 people there, it took forever to open all those gifts. I'm glad that is over now too.

Jesse's mom had a tad bit too much to drink yesterday and spilled the beans to me. Looks like we'll be planning another wedding really soon.

I'll let you all know when it's official. All I know is that the ring was purchased and she got to see it and said it was beautiful. I'm not sure if Jesse plans on asking her before or after Tony's wedding.

Here we go again.......

(I've already decided that our cruise fund is off limits to help pay for a wedding).

But then you have to add the airfare, car rental/transportation, tips, spending money, hotel for before and after, trip insurance, etc... and we're up near $3000.00 now. Double sigh.......

I could do that trip for less than $2000.
