Here's my Hospital advice,

Do what they want you to do.

Once you can get out of bed do so, often.

Don't harrass the pretty nurses too much because then they send in some ugly mug like me

i'm being good. gotta sit here for 3 hrs in the morning while i get my iv's pumped in. then another hr later for the same thing.
but in between i'm free to roam.
6 weeks of this is gonna drive me crazy...but i'm already nuts anyway.
i asked a few nurses what floor did i have to jump off of to kill myself.
10th? 12th?

Glad to see you back, I bet it was quite a scare?

nothing like getting a call from the dr saying you have to get to the hospital asap. theres bugs in your blood and it may have effected your heart valves.

friday was a very stressfull day as the drs flopped back and forth over whether to do surgery.

Hey Steve! I definitely know what you mean about work. Lately we've been having a very low census - housewide! But, the patients we do have are pretty busy.

I got my promotion with a larger than expected raise. I'm pretty stoked. But the learning curve is steep. Work has been very wierd lately. Numbers are down but the sickness of the patients is crazy high. Sothe pencil-pushers are telling me to cut staff due to the lower numbers but the patients are so sick I don't dare to for fear of being unsafe.

one thing i noticed is a lot of you folks in the medical field always seem to have a "thirst for knowledge".
and thats a good thing.

I have been lurking on some of the WDW planning boards, but can't seem to jump in and get excited about planning my 2011 trip yet. Maybe it's because I haven't picked dates yet...maybe it's because it's too far away....


Or maybe it's because I'm not planning a cruise with the BOBers!
