Hey everyone. This is Cassie, Mike and Robin's daughter. My mom just wanted me to hop on the boards and let you all know that my dad is in the hospital. He'd been having chest pains and shortness of breath, and bugs found in his bloodstream. Mom drove him up to the Cleveland Clinic last night. He's going through more tests this morning/afternoon to determine what the problem is. He'll have a TEE (I think that's what it's called) at 1 to check if his valves are infected. But don't worry, he's in high spirits as always

It's actually university hospital in Cleveland.

I was able to connect to the hospital's wireless Internet.

Update. Mike is doing fine, he's being pounded with antibiotics. Picline on monday.

Just wanted to let Lori and scott know...mike will be fine for our visit. He'll just have an i v in his arm. We've been through this before.

That's for sure. They don't let you sleep much. The first night mike had a chest xray at 11pm and a catscan at 3 am.
I slept less than 2 hours. Slept better last night though.

Mom just called, they found an infected spot below his aortic valves. They're decided whether or not to go into surgery

Looks like a day of blood cultures and EKG's. He's getting tired of walking this floor, so the Dr said he could walk downstairs with me for a change scenery as long as we were't gone too long.

That sound like the Mike we know Robin. As Nancy said yesterday give him a big huge from Rhett and Scarlet .

Yes, finally I see the sun today. Parts of Pensacola had 8 inches of rain, it's a little flooded over there. Our pool is up to the concrete. But it is chilly for us here in the 40's. It better be warm next week in the caribean!!
