Beth just got home and looked at the suitcases. Then she said that we don't have enough room and we need more suitcases! NOOOOOOOO!!!!:scared1:

Beth is a chronic overpacker. Keep it lean. Take travel size shampoo, etc. TOO MANY CLOTHES!! Alas, its the same every time. This is why I like to drive to WDW. You can take the kitchen sink as long as it fits in the van. :thumbsup2

But we aren't driving this time, and the space in the cabin is limited.

Matthew :faint:
Thats how I felt last night when Elaine said to me, "I think I need another suitcase." I was like "NOOOOOOO I am not paying AirTran any more money!" However, I was planning on taking 3 suitcases, a duffle bag, and a garment bag. Now we will just take 4 suitcases and a garment bag and we will be able to use 3 of those suitcases and the garment bag as a carryon on the way home. Fortuntately we are flying JetBlue on the way down and can check in 4 bags for free. Coming home we are on AirTran and have to be more creative.

Matthew - our yard needs mowing too - but we have no time to get it done before we leave! May have to pay a neighbor to do it for us.

I haven't been feeling well and I wanted to rest and that is why I actually called in sick - plus I pulled the girls out of school for these 2 days, so they wouldn't pick up "the bug". I think it's a good decision on my part....

See you in a couple days!!!

Great idea Angie:thumbsup2

They just had a report this morning about how many students around our area schools are out with the H1N1.:eek:

They said if you have the flu it's definitely H1N1 because it's too early for the seasonal flu.

Glad I've dodged it so far:shamrock:

We continue to mow not because the grass is growing but to mulch in all those leaves that are falling. Way too much to rake and the leaf mulch is good for the ground anyway.
Luckily my boyfriend is going to do mine for me today and probably even again while I'm gone.

Sadly though he won't give ferret any love while I'm gone.:sad2: Only basic feeding and cleaning up. Poor Rikki will be attention starved till I return.
Every time I try to mulch up my leaves, it tears up my blades on my tractor. For some reason, I am ALWAYS replacing blades on a tractor. I never replace them on a push mower.

Elaine got a text message from our dog sitter last night telling her that both Jasmine and her dog were lying on her bed with her. That calmed my nerves a bit. I hate leaving Jasmine behind. If we just visit family, she always comes along with us. She is a very well behaved dog, so family doesn't mind.

Oh, that is great your dog is having her own vacation with a buddy:hug:
That will make it easier for her.

My poor little ferret has no buddies but me:sad2:
The cats only tolerate her, Bob can't stand her smell.
Luckily my girlfriend Judy is coming over every other day and she'll be the only one who will give Rikki some love and attention:hug:

Guess I'd better start packing huh?

Working off a hangover and migraine from drinking too much wine in a short time last night:sad2: :sad2:That was a bad idea:headache:

Getting ready to go to the drycleaners to pick up my drycleaning, then to Staples to print off my Doorsign and Bobigator.

Last of the baking is done, a halloween cake!!!

Looks like we are going to be driving through a lot of rain. So here's to a safe trip!!

Whew! Wendi I was getting worried about you... and your little sickies..:goodvibes

If I were you, I would KEEP THE GIRLS HOME!! I am pulling mine out a day early, and they're not even sick. :rotfl::eek:

Well I did keep Rachel home today---she coughed all night and DH said she was a little warm this morning:eek: But she is running around here pestering her little sister and brother :scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: I have way tooo much to do today for this pirate:
Got the magnets done last night--have one thing left to do for dis tags--then load all that stuff in suitcase---pack DS's clothes as he is not going w/ us :sad2: then clean out car--wash carseats and whatever last minute stuff that needs to get done :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

That sounds like us only we are traveling AirTran both ways :scared1::scared1: We ended up with 4 suitcases and 1 garment bag plus we each have a small carry on bag---I guess thats not bad for 4 people---just costs alot :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I just checked the ten day forecast for Florida and St. Thomas. It looks like things are warming up a bit. We are cutting back to sweatshirts only for the evening on deck if necessary. It looks like Tuesday may be rainy in St. Thomas. Plan accordingly (i.e. ponchos).

Matthew

NO RAIN-------NO RAIN------------NO RAIN---------------
ONLY WARM WEATHER----IM DEMANDING IT pirate:pirate:pirate:pirate:

Good morning everyone...

Getting the kids off to school, but they are wired today. Sam woke up and said to Jay, "Jay we are leaving for vacation today!"

OK, we're into the final push today too. One kid is off to school, the next is going out the door in 10 minutes! Beth is coming home from working her midnight shift. I am running out to the bank and post office (gotta mail the mortgage before we go). :thumbsup2 Then its off to work for a few hours. :headache:
Matthew

I kept all the kids home today!! :rotfl: I'm thinking it was a good choice now, they are cleaning the house and doing all the laundry to earn cruise cash. :thumbsup2

Yay!! Matthew - you sound like me and Dave - he packed his stuff and I got the mine and the girls' stuff!
:rotfl2:

I always pack everyone but DH. Then I move his stuff around when he's done with it..:rolleyes1:lmao:

We are Delta and I THINK it's $15/bag. We'll have 5 total to check, and carry ons. Still haven't weighed them yet.. I need to do that.

I'm sitting here at work, all caught up.. and I REALLY wish my boss would get out of his meeting and say I can leave. :headache: I'm scared he's going to ask me to do something else!!

I'm very antsy!!! :dance3: :yay::woohoo:

I'm flying JetBlue.
First bag is free, second for me is $20
I'm definitely bringing 2 plus a carry on.
Guess I ended up being the biggest overpacker.:headache: Seems as though you all got away with 1 each or less:thumbsup2

Woo hoo!! The car is all packed... I can't beleive how much STUFF we are bringing!! It BARELY all fits in the car... One suitcase is completely filled with DisTag gifts, so I'm hoping that it won't take up that much room coming home!

We are driving about 5 1/2 hours tonight and then have a slow leisurely drive on Friday.

Can't wait to see you all tomorrow! I'll be wearing a Virginia Tech tshirt - can't miss me!!!

I know the feeling about not fiiting in the car. We had a hard time getting our stuff in the car, and that was before going to get my cousin, and his stuff. But we managed it. I drove from 930pm until 12 noon. Now my cousin is driving. We just crossed into the sunshine state. Hooray. We are still about four hours away from winter haven, which is where my dad lives, but we are making great time. At this rate, it will be about twenty hours. That is stopping twice so far for gas, and once to eat. We also had to stop at a rest area, cause I was feeling "not so hot". Just seen a sign for Ron Jon cocoa beach, 245 miles. That is tomorrows "easy" drive. To everyone else who has not left yet, please travel safe.
