OK, the excitement is really starting to kick in now. :cloud9: I picked up a new suitcase set from Costco (1 suitcase to check and 1 carry on). I also just made an impulse camera purchase. For me, it's all about the pictures. Memory will fade over time, but pictures keep them alive. Sony has a new camera out that has exceptional low light performance and can produce panoramic pictures "inside" the camera. You sweep the camera in a smooth arc up to 256 degress and, voila everything fits in the picture! :thumbsup2

I meant to comment about your "memories" comment. I TOTALLY agree with you about that! Most of the souvenirs that we have gotten on our past Disney trips are scattered around the house (or at the bottom of a toy box) but our picutres are the most AWESOME things we still have.

That's why we decided ahead of time to spend the $$ and get the Photo CD from Shutters. That way I KNOW everytime I see a photographer, I will grab them and make them take our picture!! Then, I can bring the CD home and get this printed in the sizes that I want to (at COSTCO!!)

LOL! The way you describe the baggage handling system reminds me of the scene in Monsters Inc where they are zooming around with all the doors everywhere.... does it kind of look like that?? :lmao:

It actually is something like that. :lmao: Only the bags aren't suspended from above.

They come from the ticket counter through a maze of conveyor belts, changing levels along the way. All of the bag basements are underground (hence the name). The bags end up in one of several "bag rooms". Once there, there are routed to specific carousels depending on the airline and flight. TSA checks them, then they are loaded onto bag carts and driven out to your plane.

I've been thinking about the photo CD also....since we're linked with 3 other rooms we should be able to get pictures from all 4 rooms with 1 photo CD, correct?

I didn't spend too much at Shutters last time, but we didn't get a lot of character pics either. We got Mickey and Minnie at port, Chip & Dale on CC, Pluto on CC, and I think Minnie on CC. We also got a formal night picture (DH and I)....

Is the photo CD from Shutters a flat price no matter how many pictures? I don't recall that from our last cruise a year and a half ago. Is it new?

I have our digital photos pretty well organized. Whenever I start looking through pictures, Megan and Sarah are just captivated. They especially like the pictures of themselves when they were little.

This is still one of my favorites.

LOL!! Norty Sarah!!!!!!!!!

Yep - the price is a flat $399 :scared1: It's a lot but my girls LOVE looking at their pictures. Since they both look so similar, we have to rely on the date stamp to tell which kid was which!

Well - I'm heading home! TTYL!!

OH - I'm totally getting the CD. I was against it at first for the price but I haven't got pictures of our whole family in 4 years

I went to the DCL website and looked under photography services. All it said was to check while onboard for package prices. I couldn't find anything about the CD. Do you decide to get that in advance, once onboard, or can you choose it at the end when you see how many pictures you have?

I heard that they went to the photopass concept. Do they still print them out for display like before?

Matthew, glad y'all are still joining us! Good thoughts for your family...:wizard::wizard::wizard:

Thanks Paige. :)

OK, here are a couple of cruise pics to help everyone get into the Disney Cruise state of mind. (As if anyone needed any help... :rotfl:)

It's almost time for this to come true! :goodvibes

I hope so too!

It is weird going north to fly south, but with flight times, airfares, and free lodging and parking we really couldn't beat it. We are also all together. :thumbsup2
