10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #28

Good morning everyone... I am still tired from our long weekend. Since Friday morning, I drove 1263 miles. Somewhere I found time to officate a wedding and have a DISmeet.

I am going to take it easy at work today. I don't think there is anything earth shattering that needs to be done. I'll read the mail, emails etc, and make sure the building is in one piece.

This is the closest that I come to that picture.

Of course, I didn't get a kiss like Walt did.

Nice pic Matthew...We have another dog on the cruise. Maybe we should coordinate a group picture with the princesses. To quote that cheesy line, "I'd buy that for a dollar!"

I'll repost my pic with Miss Connecticut. I was following her all night keeping tabs on a couple of her features...

That sure is a nice picture. Walt would probably like to have a picture with them too.

Well, Laura's Home! All is well with world again.

Looks like a cool DIS meet in Ohio today. Wish It wasnt' so doggone far away, I'd have liked to be there.

I'm sure you are thrilled. It would have been great to have you there Steve. The only problem is that you are on the other end of I-80! We'll see you in a few weeks.

Yes, I took the picture of Walt and the Miller girls. He was just like a kid on Christmas morning.

He can have an alternative version of him with the Miller Girls - Me and Jen!

On Friday, I made a mum for Asiah and a boutineer for Elijah for their homecoming game. They came out great. I have made them for Asiah and Elijah for the past 4 years. When dd (Erika) was in high school we made them for her whole dance team. So I must say I am very good at it. Asiah said hers was the prettiest and the best and Elijah said he was the coolest.

OK......Whats a MUM.

Oooooh! - I'm having a lovely morning!!!!!!!



First I lose 2 1/2 lb at Weight watchers (thats a huge amount for me! - its normally 1/2lb if I'm lucky), then I come home and Neils made me a treasure hunt around the house!!!!!!!!!

I'm running round like a 5 year old (squeeling the whole time) and find my cruise docs waiting for me at the end of the hunt

Maybe my luck will continue! - I'm going to get a lottery ticket

That's excellent Karen - that's the 1/2lb from last week plus an additional 2lb. See what you can do when you put you're mind to it.

Just bought loads of nice fresh veggies - enough to make about 15 portions.

Just tracked my docs. They are in Secaucus, NJ and are scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Our oldest daughter, Heather, went to Disney two years ago with her Middle School Band. I had to stay and work. They won the competition, beating a High School band and a smaller college band. Of course, the Middle School band had around 150 members in it! It is way bigger than the local High School band.

How exciting!! Abby just started band this year in Middle school and I hope they get to go somewhere fun!!

WOW, that is great! Alex's band won't be competing there, just attending a workshop. Although, the choir is auditioning to perform at the park.

Hey - as long as you get to go to Orlando and to the parks - who cares where they perform!!

Nancy and I just got back from a 50min walk now its time to clean up and get on with the day.
It's beautiful here this morning after the rain we had last night the sun is out clear blue sky and about 65 degrees.
Well the spare bedroom is beginning to look like we might be going someplace. . We have been getting things together. Figure we start now we won't be rushed in a couple of weeks.

Yeah after driving through rain all day yesterday, today was a very nice surprise. I did have to kick on the heat when we got home last night to take the chill off the house. I swallowed hard to do that!!!

Thats funny. Any new tech gadgets??? I keep check the BlackBerry App world for new apps for my phone

Yes GOS, LOST is STILL on! DH watches it religiously.

Tinkerbell.RN, that is so funny you should mention your dalmatian costumes! DH and I made them out of white hooded sweatshirts! I was Jewel and he was Dipstick! We were on the 2005 Halloween cruise, and they were too blasted hot! Plus, I had a temp, I was in the middle of an asthma attack. Ugh! So we won't be bringing them. We won't be at the MNNSHP, we decided to go to the Party for the Senses instead.

Did anyone else watch Flash Forward?

Again, I am backtracking!

The costume I made was from lounge wear - white with black polka dots. I found headbands that were white with polka dots. Used one as a headband to hold the ears I made out of another one. A third I made into a tale and pinned it on!


FLASH FORWARD ... was great! It was the only new show that caught my attention this year. The rest of my television viewing are returning shows I have watched for years and a couple that have been on but I found more recently. I can't wait to see how FF unfolds. It looks like another good mystery story like LOST.

Did you see him on Dancing with the Stars? He was pretty good. Still looks good!

Donny was by far the best... on both nights! There are a few who look promising, but Donny is a natural entertainer.
