My son's relatives (father's side) live in Santa Ana CA. Far from you.
But close to Disneyland!

My childhood best friend lives in Alameda, near San Fran.
So if I ever do make that trip to visit her, I'll have to look you up!

Whenever you do let me know would love to meet up with you. Sean actually works across the way in Oakland.

CA is a better place to Dream about living in rather than actually living here. I could go on and on about what that exactly means but I don't want to bore anyone about it. Suffice to say the Golden State has tarnished an shown itself to be nothing but brass.

Yeah unfortunately working in a school now I have found out how little our state values education. Taxing here has become rediculous, found it interesting that Arnold got his job from the impeachment of another govenor wanting to raise our car taxes, and that is exactly what Arnold did this year, and nothing is being said about that. It's a gorgeous, laid back expensive state, I am a born California girl with a southern heart (grandparents are from the south). So it looks like Sean and I will be heading east when we retire, just so we can afford retirement.

Ron called me at work yesterday afternoon and asked what was for dinner. Since I had no plans but happened to have cresent rolls and hot dogs in our fridge (both unusual for us) I recommended that he make the mummy dogs. He thought I was crazy but when I told him you did it, he gave it a try. I just emailed him the link that you posted. So I came home to mummy dogs for dinner. The kids loved it. Thanks for the great idea!

You can tell you have little ones in the house. We just call them cresent dogs.

Thanks guys . Now mind you it is 2lbs getting on the scale before the shower, so I may have to lose 5 for when I go into the Dr office and do the official weigh in. But I'll get there.

Our cruise docs still show nothing when I look them up but the kids cruise with my parents the following week have shown as being shipped. Any thought on this?

No problem. I'm glad you enjoyed them.

as far as the docs go... I have no idea. You might check with your TA so that they can be on top of any problems that may arise. Realistically, you only need the luggage tags that are contained and if you are not using the Disney trasport you don't even need those.

Well looks like I owe you all a poem. Here's one I prepared earlier.

On 21st October, we leave for Orlando
To join a group of DIS friends, so here we go!​

2 years we’ve been planning, this trip on the boat
No bad weather on the horizon to spoil this trip, we hope!​

We’ll be gone, in total, a whole 16 days
It’s hard to keep all the excitement at bay!​

Disney’s Boardwalk will be our home before and after the cruise
So we hope we won’t experience any pre and post-Mickey Mouse blues​

24th October is our sailing date
From Port Canaveral to the Caribbean, Ahoy there Mate.​

St Maarten in the Caribbean is our first port of call
After completing 48 hours or 2 days at sea, in full.​

St Thomas/St John is our next full days stop
And that’s only one nights, skip and a hop.​

And then after another full day at sea
Castaway Cay is where we will be​

7 days is not long to experience so much fun
But sailing with a great group of friends, it just has to be done​

The BOB’ers is our name, but what does this mean?
A Bash on the Boat – is it too extreme? ​

Tag gifts, lots of meets and plenty of chatter
Is what we expect, from this group of mad hatters.​

Mickey, Minnie, Pluto too will greet us a long the way
And lots of other characters will make our day.​

And after the cruise is over and done, will we all stay in touch?
That’s the million dollar question. Am I expecting far too much?​

A trip to see my US sister is next on the cards
But that’s a bit further than our two back yards​

So I finish this little ditty, right now, right here
And say that I hope it brought you much cheer​
