Good afternoon everyone...

Thanks Cass for the bread crumbs and setting up the new thread. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Well, interesting turn of events for my weekend plans in the last couple of hours. I was talking to my office worker and mentioned that I wanted to go to the car show in town on Saturday and that I was planning other special outdoor plans for the kids. She said, "Chris, the car show is Sunday, not Saturday." I said to her, "what's the weather supposed to be like?" She replied, "beautiful" Elaine is going to be away so I wanted to take the kids somewhere special.

I then began to think...You know, I could take the kids into the city and maybe go to the Intrepid museum, maybe the Statue of Liberty, and Times Square. Off peak kids prices on the train are like $1 from New Haven! I said to Elaine, "I'm taking the kids to New York on Saturday." I then texted my sister told her I was going to New York and asked her if she wanted to come down this weekend. She responded an affirmative. We are totally going to surprise the kids. I am not telling them that Tracy is coming down and I won't tell them we are going to New York tomorrow until we get on the train.

It should be a fun day!

They're biscuits or cookies. What do you like and I'll try and remember to bring you some.

I just remember Douglas bringing home these great cookies that are chocolate on one side. This was years ago on one of his work trips. That would be great :yay: but if they take up too much space don't worry about it.

Weird- I had a really detailed dream about NYC last night. I am so jealous. I love New York! Now I am thinking about pizza and pastrami sandwiches. WHy do I keep typing about food??

Could they be McVitie's HobNobs? They are super yummy!!!

When my sister arrives tonight, she and I will discuss and plan out the day tomorrow.

FYI

Taken from the cruise board....

I called and got a list of the movies they "might" be playing onboard during the October sailings:

Toy Story 3D (premiering 10/2 onboard)
Bolt in 3D
Confessions of a Shopaholic
Earth
UP in 3D
The Proposal
G-Force 3D
Surrogate (premiering 9/25 onboard)

Saw Up, Earth and Bolt in May- due to lots of rain!! Bolt & Up are cute, didin't care for earth.

Did anyone else cry during UP? That is the bad thing about seeing movies out is that I get so involved in the story that I cry. My family gets embaressed.

That would be chocolate digestives. We'll have room, but I'll need to keep them away from Rick. They're his favs.
