If Andy can't do it, I can have Sean do it. I will be in my room feeling sorry for myself that day.:sad1:
We are however going to book a 4 dayer out of LA in June. We're slumming it though on Carnival, but our close friends will be cruising with us.

You will have lots of fun with your close friends. :cool1::cool1:

Hey Becky, what is northern CA (SF specifically) like in late April, early May? I kind of fancy the LA-Vancouver repo.

Well I am not Becky either but I lived in SF for 13 years and the weather can be quite different from other parts of Northern CA. You dress in layers because you can wake up with the fog, high in the 50's or 60 or so, the fog moves away for an hour or two and then you see it rolling in around 4:00.

The couple of times I been there it was cool but lovely.

Ok, done getting the card out of the computer:headache:

Can I just say:

What a pain in the @%%!

Had to call Sean (woke him up twice) a few times to figure out:

how to get the case open

how to get at the drive slot that was behind a metal bar:mad:

how to unscrew it when 1 screw is stripped:headache:

So when that wouldn't come undone and finally finangled getting the drive out between all the other mess of cords and wires etc.......
started shaking the stupid card reader to get my photo card to come out!

Literally shook it for about 10 minutes and was about to cry that I'd never get my card out

Finally it fell out!:thumbsup2

Then the card reader cord became disconnected from the mother board and I had no idea where that connected to:eek:

Called Sean again..... sent him photos from my cell phone....
pulled out the manual for the motherboard....

Finally got it plugged in.....

Then waiting to see if the computer would turn back on again or if something else got disconnected while I tried to shove that old card slot back into it's place

Yay:cool1: So far everything has turned back on ok, as you can see

:surfweb:

Ok, I think I'm about ready to insert my card THE CORRECT WAY:rolleyes1 and see if it or the reader were not totally damaged by all my shaking.....

Stay tuned to see if I'll have pictures from this weekend.

Wait:

I think I really need a big glass of wine for this:idea:

Let me tell you ..... that computer building/fixing/upgrading stuff is for the birds!

You certainly need lots of patience and very tiny hands too.:headache:
