10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #27

Good morning all!!! Just a lazy last day of summer for us today (NOT!!!!!)

Actually, we are working on cleaning the house and getting the girls ready for school. They are enjoying just laying in bed in their pjs watching tv (I hear them both giggling with each other right now - LOVE that sound!

Dave was cleaning up the living room and he found his "CRUISE HAT" (oh no!!!!!!) Here is a picture of him modeling it....

We have a get together with some of our church family later this afternoon and I made my famous pasta salad (well - not famous.... it's just what I ALWAYS make for get togethers!!) I also made something called a Black Forest Trifle. Here is the picture!!

Now - I don't like pudding, but I do like brownies, cherries and chocolate! Can't wait to try it! I always remember one of the Thanksgiving episodes of Friends where Rachel makes a trifle, but the cookbook pages got stuck together and she mixed some REALLY nasty stuff together (but Joey kept eating it!)

Well - Becca wants some devilled eggs - so we are going to make those next!

Goooooooood Moring everyone,

I hope everyone has had a great looooong weekend
I have spent a lovely weekend with good friends (Cass) and my hubby today we are putting up the last gate to finish our yard so soon we will be able to let the dog play outside with out her leash on..lol
This month is gonna fly by for me because it is time for inventory at work... then it will be 2 weeks till we leave!
I still have to packand such but I am not worried.. we have a week before hand to pick up anything we might have forgotten..lol

I need to get my butt on the elliptical soon!! all my injurys prevented me from loosing any weight! but at least I will get my stamina up so I can get ready for walking the parks all day! OMG!!!! I am going on vacation in less than 6 weeks... WOOHOO!!!!!

Hey Bernie...thats great about your yard. I was so happy when we moved to CT that our house had a fenced in yard and it is a full 1/2 acre. Its all wide open so Jasmine has plenty of room to run.

lol well we don't have a 1/2 acre yard but it is better than nothing! lol I would LOVE to get a place that had some woods to it.. thats what I grew up with and loooooved it.. that was my playground

ok it's 10 am and sean should be getting up soon.. gonna make him a nice hearty breakie of homemade hasbrowns/eggs/sausage/and biscuts..lol not overly healthy I know.. but it's a longweekend! LOL

Our yard in Maine was oddly shaped and had boulders everywhere so we couldn't fence it.

Our total yard is fenced. We even have a gate at the end of our driveway. I would rather just having the back fenced and if we are here long enough I just might do that. I don't even close the driveway gate now, Jasmine doesn't leave the yard anymore. It's still great to have the fence though as it does keep her in. I used to tie her out with the driveway gate open but she hasn't been tied out in nearly a year.

Yay Steve!! You are amazing - I could not even FATHOM working in the ER - much less being the charge nurse. STRESS!!

Thanks, it was a rough day. I had 3 sick calls 1 being a ER tech (Ouch!) and another being a nurse (Big OUCH!)

I like it. This pretty much what the front of our shirts was going to look like but I changed my mind and went with a mickey head logo with our favorite characters.
