10/24/2009 Bash on the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #27

OK folks, I'm going to a 50th birthday party for my BIL in October that has a 50's sock hop theme and am looking for a High School Letter Sweater. Anyone know where I can find one for CHEAP??? E-bay has a few but they are either too expensive, to small, or I get outbid at the last minute by those power buyers. I have the numerals and the Varsity letter from high school but just no sweater to put them on.

Any other ideas too?

His Birthday is on the 7th. Alex's is on the 5th.
Have you found a sweater yet? I know a nurse I work with has one as does her daughter. They will fit. I'm sure they would let you borrow them. I can ask if you need.

Thomas is not mellow - he's the typical "full of energy" boy....but that's what's so fun about him too.

Will Sean be in the clubs at all? They should be in the same age group (Thomas is 6). We'll have to introduce them.

Oh mosst definitely he will be in the clubs. What about the kids meet at the Disney pool on Sunday?

Well, I have been watching DCL and St. Maarten videos on YouTube. (The anticipation grows...) We went ahead and hired a town car to bring us from WDW to the Port. It was actually cheaper for the four of us than using the Disney Bus. I also remember from our quick getaway last month that the check in line at the airport was a mad house. Mostly because it was a sail day. Most of the people where checking in to go to the ship. We got in a very short line to go to Saratoga Springs.

Just another reminder that if you are flying in on the sail date, allow lots of extra time in your schedule every step of the way.

I'm going to be working on our tshirts this weekend. I really need to get them done so it's one less thing to do!

I ordered some of the Iron on Transfers from a DiSigner who everyone raves about... I'll let you know how they work! We are just doing t-shirts the first day of the cruise - so everyone can see us at the port!!

i'm sure they'll be every bit as nice as your home made fish extender.

I read it - maybe it means the more times you've been to CC the sooner you can book things.

I LOVE Peanut Butter Cookies.

Me too - makes me think I should bake some - but then I'd eat them all & not fit into my cruise clothes!

We are just leaving our cars at my parents house. I think they are checking with their secretaries about driving us to the jetport on 10/23. When we get back on 11/1, me and my dad will just take a cab home to pick up the cars. They only live about 5 minutes away from the jetport.

We're about 35-40 minutes. We have done park and flies at the Hampton Inn out by the mall but don't need to this time since out flight out is at 11:00 AM - although that gives me an idea - might be worth it to have the car available when we get back.

Nancy, I just checked our flight/seats for our JetBlue flight. It is showing about 60% full now. It seems to be slowly filling up. I am betting it will be full or just about full by the time we fly south.

I guess our non stops were cancelled because nobody flies on Thurs or Mon.!!!!!
