as long as she doesnt waste a lot of film.:rotfl:
oh, thats right, you young kids dont remember when cameras had film.

I do!

I did not have a digital camera until right before DS was born...and I became an instant convert to digital! I loved being able to take 10 pictures in order to get one good one, and not "waste film".

Oh, wait....I'm not a young kid....:laughing::laughing::laughing:

chris...seeing elaine reminded me....i thought we'd here from her on the dis before we sail. no? :rolleyes1

I am an excessive overplanner.

I know what you mean about being a big overplanner. When I got fired, I lost all the stuff I had on my work computer, which had my packing list! :scared1: So, I started making another one, adding things from the list on the main page also. I'll overpack yet! :cool1:

I was telling her earlier today about my first cameras. I mentioned that I couldn't look at my pictures until I got home from vacation and developed the film. She was like, "no way dad!"

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
heaven forbid if they ever had to watch a black and white tv.:happytv:

I know! Abby was only born 11 1/2 years ago and before she was born, I asked for a 35mm camera with a date stamp on it (so I could tell when they were taken)

Now - we have multiple digital cameras and I can't remember the last time I printed them out (norty, Angie!!)

Now a days, as soon as you snap the picture, the kids want to see it! Remember when we had to wait a WEEK to get the pictures bacK?? I even remember the flash bars that only allowed you to do 6 flash pics at a time!!! (I'm not THAT old.... i keep telling myself...) :rotfl2::yay:

I just checked on Cass' site - I'm the same age as Dave. But I remember the flash bars too. Remember the disc camera from Kodak?

Those flash bars and flash cubes were soooo expensive for a 10 year old too! I had a 110 camera that I had for a few years beginning at age 10.

Yeah, the 80s were big on everything going on disc. Computer floppy discs instead of tapes, audio CD's instead of tapes/records. I guess Kodak wanted to capitalize on the disc craze!

kodak had a vinyl "KODAK" bag years ago as a free promotion. we had that thing for years. always took it on trips.
saw it on the video a few weeks ago when cassie was home and she wanted to watch old wdw home movies.princess:
she said "hey, theres that kodak bag":rotfl2:

Oh my...are we totally walking down memory lane??? :goodvibes I remember the flash cubes, the 110 camera, the disc camera (I had one), all of it!

I also remember tv with only 3 channels, rabbit ears, and we had a record player in a big cabinet that sat on the floor....

I am thankful:
For the wife
who says it's hot dogs tonight,
because she is home with me,
and not out with someone else.

For the husband
who is on the sofa
being a couch potato,
because he is home with me
and not out at the bars.

For the teenager
who is complaining about doing dishes
because it means she is at home,
not on the streets.

For the taxes i pay
because it means
i am employed .

For the mess to clean after a party
because it means i have
been surrounded by friends.

For the clothes that fit a little too snug
because it means
i have enough to eat.

For my shadow that watches me work
because it means
i am out in the sunshine

for a lawn that needs mowing,
windows that need cleaning,
and gutters that need fixing
because it means i have a home .

For all the complaining
i hear about the government
because it means
we have freedom of speech. .

For the parking spot
i find at the far end of the parking lot
because it means i am capable of walking
and i have been blessed with transportation .

For my huge heating bill
because it means
i am warm.

For the lady behind me in church
who sings off key because it means
i can hear.

For the pile of laundry and ironing
because it means
i have clothes to wear.

For weariness and aching muscles
at the end of the day
because it means i have been
capable of working hard.

For the alarm that goes off
in the early morning hours
because it means i am alive.

And finally, for too much e-mail
because it means i have
friends who are thinking of me.
