Boy I have a lot to catch up on since Saturday! :)

Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and a smooth Monday! I got off work early today so that's always a good start to the week. :woohoo:

I went and got the kids' passports ordered Saturday (whew WHAT a process!) and turned in our medical forms at the Dr's office today. I was ready to expedite the passports cause I'll be a wreck if they aren't here by October. The lady at the post office said we had plenty of time, she estimated 2-3 weeks! I guess it's slow right now. I'll just be relieved when they come in the mail!

We decided not to get the kids their's right now. They aren't required now, they extended the deadline again. So, my thinking was wait until we really need them so they last longer since they only last 5 years. Am I crazy?

I've added them to my list. Do they really work? Do you still take Dramamine or something?

I've been thinking the same thing but they're so darn expensive. Like you I will wait til I get on the ship & look for a special.

Yesterday I got out & tried on all my dinner clothes, washed them, now I have to press some of them. Then they'll be ready to go. Dan's stuff is next.

Credit Card? Great list - I copied it (well not Ellis's stuff or Becca's card!!)

N

I take Dramamine twice a day. The non-drowsy type. Still makes me a little sleepy. So, please just dab the drool off my chin when you see me passed out in a deck chair.:lmao: I usually do pretty well, but that night was a bad one for me.

Everything is fine here. We bought a passporters book. We haven't bought one in years. Thought we'd get an update on the latest.

It gets you psyched when you read it. :woohoo:
Yeah I bought the 2005 edition for our last cruise. I had to throw it away though as I beat it up too much! Darn paperbacks!

I can't believe I didn't need it on the KK cruise. Pirate night was wild. pirate:

I usually take it before I get on the ship just until I get my sea legs. Cutting across that Gulf Stream can be a little nauseating.

I don't have any trouble with the non drowsy.

We'll either give you a bib or a drool bucket. :lmao:

On our first cruise I was scared to death that Elaine would have motion sickness. I ride rides at parks, have gone deep sea fishing 25 miles out, etc, never sick.

On our first sea day, I was . I did all of the wrong things. I went back to the room to lay down. I went to lunch in the dining room and as soon as they brought Elaine's lasagna out, I excused myself and left! I never got sick, but boy did I feel it!

Elaine likes to tell that story...

The only thing that bothers me is watching the shows and the curtains are swaying.

I was going to say that. We took my daughter one time and she about tossed her cookies watching that. :rotfl2: poor kid.

I did notice, on kk1, a lot of people leaving the theater because they couldn't take it. Some were simply green. :lmao:

Here is a pic of the girls this morning. 1st day of school here.

...And once you get it, it's tough to kick it. We had to take our daughter outside for some air and stay midship. Fortunately it was dark, so she couldn't see the horizon moving. :sad1:

Yes that first sea day was not particularly enjoyable for me. Every sea day on that cruise wasn't too good. It was pretty choppy all week, and the ship was always moving fast. Most of the sea days teh pool was closed because of the pitching and rolling. I noticed the DCL ships go slower in the daytime, and faster at night. If they do this intentional to make the day more pleasurable for us passengers than three cheers for DCL and boo to RCCL!

We learned to play it safe and take something that first day. I want to be able to enjoy every minute. :thumbsup2:cool1:
