Its a hot, hot hot Wednesday

I try to "live and let live" for the most part on a plane...it also helps that with the 3 of us we usually get a row to ourselves so we don't have to fight a stranger for the armrest, and I usually try to be nice to people bringing their kids on a plane.

As for my kid, his carry-on bag is usually packed with entertainment, including my most-favorite invention, the portable DVD player!

I agree with you Jen. I so hate it when the stranger beside you tut's when you want to go to the toilet and you have to disturb them.

Thursday lunch FO

Oh my dear brother I am here.. I skim most nights.. too tired to post..lol and we are no longer suppose to surf at work so no way of catching up there..lol I have finished finding my pirate outfit tho :goodvibes ordered mine and my daughters now we need to find Sean's

Dis tag gifts are completed mostly and thanks to the all mighty and powerful Cass my shirts and magnets are done.. have I mentioned how freaking awesome that chick is???? :worship:

I am all happy to be offered any upgrades but will just be happy to be on the cruise :goodvibes

Looks like you're all set then Bernie.

It's slow.... but I don't have anything to say!!

Oh - I remembered something.... I can't remember if I posted this here or not, but when I was in Chicago for the Pampered Chef convention, I won a laptop in a drawing (only 3 given away and 3000 consultants were there). They told me I would hear something in 4 to 6 weeks and on Friday, FedEx came to the door and delivered it!!

It's SOOOOOO pretty!! It has Vista, which I am not crazy about, but I'm a computer geek, so I am getting used to it and it's not TOOOOO bad. It's a pretty Dell....and they also included Microsoft Office 2007 - YAY (Sorry, I'm a nerdy accountant and I LOVE me some Excel!!)

You did tell us...Way to go Angie. You als said to sit next to you as you all win. You can be our lucky charm.

Evening peoples :wave2:

I was reading a trippie and found this pic and since everyone was talking about how far the tram was from the ship in St Thomas, I thought I would post it for you....

DSC_0925.jpg

It was taken from the ship and the buildings you see is Havensight Mall Duty Free shops and in the background you can see the tram going up the side of the mountain :thumbsup2

That's not far is it Cass?

Ok, gotta go.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

That's not far is it Cass?

No it's not, We walked it in May and I was pushing a wheel chair. Let me tell you though it is not wheel chair or stroller accessable. You have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the tram. Luckily Mom can walk just not fast or far. So we climbed the stairs. When we got to the top she sat and my sister & I walked around. The paths up top are steep and not paved well, we didin't want to chance her falling.

Hey, if anyone out there is a Packers' fan, looks like Favre signed with the Vikings today. He was on the practice field too.

I saw that....isn't that the same guy who said he was staying retired 3 weeks ago???

Oh well....hopefully he will throw a lot if interceptions for the Bears' defense!!!

GO BEARS!!!

Mornin' all....

Just catching up, and then I need to put my nose to the grindstone here at work. I will be off 2 hours tomorrow for school registration, then Friday we'll be leaving for Minneapolis for a long weekend. We're meeting my brother, SIL, and niece at a hotel there - I haven't seen them in almost 4 years! My mom is going too, so it will be a nice little family reunion. My brother lives in North Dakota, so we don't get to see them much.

Good morning everyone...

Its another hot and humid day in southern New England! Getting ready to head to work. Wednesdays are our finance day where we deposit all income, and process our expenses. With the fiscal close coming up on 9/30 things have been really tight.

I watched that new show Swords on Discovery channel last night. It was good. Did anyone else check it out?

Anyone got a 2gb ipod shuffle? If so are they any good?:confused3

Ellis originally wanted a new nano, now he's changed his mind and wants a smaller shuffle, now he only wants green shuffle and the new 4gb only comes in silver or balck:rolleyes:, so I'm now looking at the 2gb square shuffle - opinions please??

I don't know how they've changed the shuffle since Stuart and Leah had one but neither they or I liked it much. No easy way to pick the music out that you want to hear. Stuart was constantly asking me to find a particular song and I would have to click through 50 songs to get to the one he wanted. Smaller capacity is nice on the shuffle because you really don't want too many songs on it for the aformentioned problem. Stuart has the nano now and really likes it. I also put cartoons and they three stooges on it and he'll watch them constantly. Leah has my old iPod (I have both the iPhone and the iTouch, I know, I'm a massive geek) It's big for her and so she really only uses it when we're driving.

Johnathan just bought this one and really likes it and so does his brother :)

Did anyone see that the Eastern Magic this week got re-routed to a double-dip Western. Remember when we were all thinking of booking before the dates came out and we were hoping for that itinerary for our cruise?

:banana::banana:First Day of School!!:banana::banana:

Here is Emily with her friend, Reilly. Reilly has spent the last week with us; she returns to her home in Gulf Breeze, FL, today. She is one of Emily's best friends and we will all miss her.

Gulf breeze is right down the road!!!

Enjoy your empty house!!

This is our first year for a quiet house in the afternoons. I'm so looking forward to getting things done in the afternoon. Or just being uninterrupted.

Karen have you checked the refurb store at apple? great prices!

http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/ipod?mco=MTIzMzE

I like buying the refurbs. They're checked by a technician so you know you're getting a working unit but you get a bit of a discount where you won't get such anywhere else.

Hmmmm, he changes his mind every two minutes, now maybe I will convert back to a nano:rolleyes1 He just thinks its too big round his neck, whereas the shuffle is teeny weeny round his neck. Decisions decisions!

I have one. I use it when I walk. The only thing I can think of that I don't like about it is that you can't pick what song to play. Other than that it's small and clips on my shirt while I walk, don't have to worry about having a pocket to put it in, or having to carry it in my hand.
