Passports are a good start. I tell you, last time I was very much relieved when they finally came in. It was kinda cool when I did the online checkin, DCL had all of our info already in place even passport numbers. All I had to do was change anything that had changed since our last cruise, which was pretty much nothing except my emergency contacts. I would have done the shirts today but I ran out of time for shopping for them. I have the transfer paper, and I'm using Cass' excellent graphics with only very minor modifications. So, T-shirts will be quick.

71 days until we leave and it seems so short! Especially when I work 6 day stretches when nothing gets done!

I look at it as 10 weeks. It keeps me in line knowing I need to lose 2 lbs a week until we leave.

We'll be heading to Beachclub Villas, I believe. I'd love to stay at AKV, but our home resorts are Old Key West and Beachclub. Matthew's favorite is Beachclub, so I think that is our plan.

We have active Annual Passes so we will probably head to the park early. But, I don't know for sure yet. If the other BOB MNSSHPers are planning lunch somewhere.....

Hi ya! So far, I only have my Parasailing reserved for CC, and Palo for DH and I. We're still hemming and hawing over some others, and trying to decide on the excursions - a bit tough bc we're sailing w/ my BIL and his family and they have a little DS who's 1...so we'll see.

Sorry to hear the 1st timers couldn't get their Palo ressies. It looks like it's pretty rare to be able to get any for the 75 day mark. We couldn't book ours on our first cruise either and had to go to RBD to get them too. I remember feeling a bit upset too thinking that ESPECIALLY for 1st timers, they need to let you book on that day. When you get on the ship you really want to be able to take it all in and not stand in some line for reservations instead.

We're coming down in the morning. Neil will either drop us off at the terminal and then return the car or we'll all go to return the car - we're budget too.

When we went to Saratoga's SPAC wine fest we got our photo taken and got on the front page of the local newspaper the next morning!

Well, I totally jiggered my vacations plans. It was Chris' fault. He asked me if I was still staying at the Radisson even though I'm going to WDW on the 23rd. That got me to thinking. I'd be far easier and not much more expensive to say at WDW. Looked into it and yes, it's doable.

I'm now staying at Port Orleans: Riverside on the nights of the 22nd and 23rd. I'm using DME from transport from Airport to WDW and bought the DCL transfers from WDW to Port (that probably means that I'll be a bit later than most of you.) But the transfers were the same cost as the rental car and I don't have to hassle with anything. I'm keeping everything a secret from the kids. So they'll be surprised!

When I was a teenager I had hair down to my waist. I went on a ride that hung you upside down for a while and my hair got stuck in the gears. They had to cut me out of it. Talk about tears! Not only was my scalp bleeding from the hair getting yanked out, but I ended up with a Pixie hair cut after that because of the chunks that were ripped out.

I was searching for a thread for this cruise and finally found it. My name is Chris. My wife Stacy, my daughter Rebecca, and my father in law Seymour will all be on this cruise together. We have never been on a Disney cruise or any cruise for that matter. Any and all suggestions are very much welcomed and appreciated. We all can't wait for October to get here. I just made reservations today for some excursions and Palo. I was surprised to see that Palo brunch was completely sold out when I logged on this evening. Is this normal? I don't want to slow the thread down with alot of questions but I'm sure I'll have more right up to the time we leave.

have a few post to catch up on a few post but I thought I would let you all know that my elliptical attacked me last night and broke my little toe on my left foot (yes the same leg I hurt skiing) I went to the doc's today and yes.. broken..lol x-rays to determine if i need to have it "placed" other than that... SUCK IT UP PRINCESS!! nothing you can do for a broken toe..lol

Well good morning from a SUNNY Birmingham!.. yes, I said SUNNY!

I must have bought some sunshine back from Cyprus

It was mega hot out there. 40 degrees most days and "cooling" to 28 degrees at midnight. I have loads of piccies to post (surprise surprise)

Hotel was lovely, food was nice but I did try to be good some of the time. Did lots of swimming and walking but I cant face the scales yet

Hello everyone!! I've been reading this thread(s) off/on for months. Thanks for all the helpful info. This is our first time to be on the Disboards
before our cruise.

We are from Texas; Larry and Leona, Kaylee 18 and Hannah 11. Our first time at Disney was a land/sea combo 4 yrs ago on the Wonder. We were so in love with the cruise that we all said at the same time, "next time I want to skip the parks and go on a longer cruise!" So, 2 yrs later we did, taking a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise. This year, of course, we are on this Eastern cruise for a week but the closer it has gotten the more we all would like to re-visit the parks. So, we are trying to work it out to fly down a week early and go to the parks.

Jeff, I got your msg about adding us to the list but I can't seem to find it. I'm not the most computer literate person. Any suggestions?

I used to be a "read every post" kind of person. I was in the middle of the pack on number of posts. Life got in the way, though! So, my advice is the same. Read back if you have time or if someone quotes something interesting. Otherwise, if you have a question, just ask it. Converse as you are able.

That being said: have Hannah look at the "Kid Kruisers" thread. (They haven't gotten to the end of 1 thread!) My daughter Megan (11 -- 12th bday on board!) and some of the other girls chat a little on there. Hannah can just use your log-in (Megan uses mine). There will definitely be kids to meet for them!

This will be the 3rd cruise for all of us. (2007 Med cruise; 2008 3-night Bahamas-- Megan made a wish in 2007 for a cruise every year!)
