Well ... not too bad ... my table could now be used for communion as it is on the 'holy' side. :rotfl2: :lmao: She's a lucky girl as Ron is building (or lovingly crafting) us a new dining room table. If she had stapled that one he would not have been very happy. I'm recommending that he finish it with a 'distressed' look. It will work more for our dd that way. She loves to do crafts and our table bears the brunt of it. Our table cloth didn't survive the stapling well though.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

Sorry for the "post and run" today - hope to catch up later tonight on everyone elses goings on (we are getting so close it's crazy!!!)

Wanted to update on my brother's babies - so far so good!! They both have HUGE feet. They are off some BP meds and while they are getting some oxygen, it's less than they needed yesterday.

Friday is the next big test- they are having CT scans on their brains to determine any bleeding - the big thing for preemie babies.

The Neonatal pediatrician was "pleasantly suprised" by their progress so far.

My poor brother FINALLY got a flight out from Kuwait 15 minutes ago and will be in Little Rock by 6:55 pm tomorrow night (via way of DC, DENVER (??) and then Little Rock.

My parents are up there with Natalie (my SIL) and they love seeing the babies. Natalie got to touch one of the babies today.

Thanks again for prayers and hugs. All my Facebook DIS friends can see updates over there - and a couple pictures as I get them in.

Hugs and Love to you alL!

I am glad to hear the goods news...prayers are still coming your way Angie.

Good news Angie,

We will keep them in our prayers.

Wow, expected a lot of pages to catch up on and only had about 4. I just finished day 7 of 9 in a row. Laura and the kids are going to Pinecrest (Mountain Lake) for the rest of the week tommorrow for our churches family camp. I'm joining them on Thursday night. I really need that R&R. The crazies have been coming out of the woodwork lately. It's very draining to have to deal with people whose perception of reality is so very different than your own.

Well, yet again I'm up a stoooopid o clock,

I even got up before Neil this morning and made him coffee and melon and strawberries for brekkie... I'll get brownie points for that:thumbsup2:angel:

Its dry so far, havent seen the forecast yet, but hopefully I'll get a walk in today and clock up my steps.

Nancy - how did you do yesterday?

Anyone else pedometering? - we should all get one and encourage each other.:thumbsup2 Its hard if you have a "sitting down" job. A firend of mine clocks up 16,000 each day just at work as she's on her feet al day:scared1:

Some days, I would only clock up about 4000 if I was standing ironing, in the car or catching up with some tv etc. It really encourages you to move when you see how lazy you've been that day:rolleyes1.

I had a woman today who pulled her mother from a care home because she thought that she could care better (a noble thought, right) Then got mad when her Mother decided it was a good idea to water the plasma television. Then suddenly it's our problem that she did this and WE need to find a place to house her mother. (previous place would have nothing more to do with them) Our poor Social Services people spent most of the day unravelling that mess!

Then there was the woman who came to the ER because of unbearable pain that wouldn't hardly give us a history (she just wanted us to treat her w/o any assessment whatsoever) While our Physician was in the room assessing her, I was in the room at all times. Once the physician finished the woman pulled all kinds of wild accusations out of a hat and insisted that the Doctor did not want to treat her. When she signed out against medical advice she then got mad at me for assisting her to the waiting room (she wanted me to call an ambulance for her and have her transported to another hospital) Suddenly in the Waiting room, the woman who was in too much pain to move got up from her wheelchair and stormed out of the ER without so much as a limp, threatening lawsuits all around. That's just a small sample of the whacked out days that I have been dealing with lately.

That's me...in a sitting down job. I wore a pedometer for a week and was surprised at the different readings I got, depending on how much time I spend at my desk. I agree with you Karen, it does get you thinking about taking a longer route, just to get those few extra steps.

I agree Steve. Looks like everyone has run outta steam after the marathon at the weekend.:rotfl:

Sounds like you work in Stress Central. Anything like House?

Hi Heather! I sooo need to get back at it. I've haven't had enough activity since I had my little accident. Who knew that one little fall could lead to breaking my collar bone, dislocating & separating my shoulder and this long of a recovery. I'm happy to say that I'm not in pain all day anymore. Just some when I move in ways my shoulder deems not ok. Most activities are now ok though. I've just been banned from playing baseball and golfing this year :sad2:

Oh my goodness. Sound like you were in the wars Dianne.

An easy Wedesday FO. No one else around to deny me.

Mornin' Karen  I actually clocked over 12,000 steps yesterday without even trying all that hard. Yes, I did take my dog for a walk and walked around the warehouse at work a little but nothing all that spectacular. I do have a desk job but since I'm in charge of the warehouse too, I do get up quite a bit too. I'm loving this thing though. It's quite motivating isn't it?:yay:

Take all kinds to make up this crazy world doesn't it Steve? ;)

Angie: Good luck on Friday !!:flower3:

Could it be that maybe she just wanted a little bit of oxycodone, hmmm, I wonder...:lmao::lmao:

People like this make it bad for the rest of those with real pain. My sister recently went through something like this with her doctor. She was suffering with headaches (not something she has ever had before) and had to really convince her doctor that she wasn't lying. When she was telling me about it, and she was so insulted by his disbelief, I told her that I thought he was maybe concerned that she wanted pain killers just for the high. When she had to go back a second time, she told him, I don't like taking drugs, I have never taken drugs and I hope we can find out what's wrong with no drugs.

I think it ended up to be her sinuses--weird because the pain was on the top of her head.
