of course i remember. dcl gave us a "free" poster for spending so much in that store.

I am sitting at my desk and when you said I had to do a poem I pulled a notebook down off the shelf and wrote it....straight off the cuff.....I know--it shows...

Well, y'all, I'm off for a bit. I'm going to watch today's Young and the Restless, then I have to go and pick up Emily---again! Then I'll be back closer to midnight.

We went to see UP tonight. Cute movie. We have to wait a few weeks for it to play at the base theatre, but for $2 per person, we can wait.

Well folks we are heading home in the morning. I am going to hate that 10 - 12 hour drive ahead.

Who are they playing??

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. That is the latest name for the American League team in Southern California. Recently, they have been called, Anaheim Angels, Los Angeles Angels, now they combined the two.

I don't even know what the stadium is called now!

They closed our base theater, we don't see nearly as many movies as we used to!!

I grew up on Air Force bases all over the country and world. When we lived in the Philippines, my best friend had always lived there (her mom was Filipino and her dad was a serviceman). SHe actually wondered if movie theaters in the states (and not on base) played the National Anthem before the movie.

(it's been 15 years since I've seen a movie on base... do they still do that??)
