Hey everyone...

A little drama in our house this afternoon. I was spreading some lime in the front yard, and after the bus stopped, I heard DD wailing as she came up the street.

On the bus on the way home, she found a tick on her neck and was all worked up. Last year, she got Lyme Disease, after we found a tiny deer tick on her. This was the larger dog tick, so I assured her she would be ok. As she was doing her homework, she kept telling me how "buggy" she felt.

She must have got it on her in school, as Elaine would have spotted it when she did her hair this morning. Her school is kind of in the woods and has a lot of grass around it.

She is fine now. She finished her homework, and darted outside!

A couple of weeks ago Megan had one on the back of her neck. Nasty little parasites. It always We got it out whole though. How long did it take to figure out that your DD had lyme disease last summer? Did she exhibit symptoms, or did you have her tested after the tick?

I guess everybody was comfortable leaving the thread far enough away from #1800 that they didn't need to worry about it happening before morning.

Still no answers. Went to the Dr and they took a chest x-ray. Dr wants the radiologist to read it to see for sure what it is. She says he should have an answer by tomorrow morning.

Poor guy, he was scared going in tonight. Threw up while we were there too. Says he just wants to go back to school and feel better. Needless to say he is out again tomorrow until we hear from the Dr.

i hope he feels better this morning.

6 posts to read when I got up this morning? C'mon BOBers, we can do better than that. I'm staying home today to get this flu out of my system...my ribs are killing me from all the coughing...so I expect to see a few 's given out today. BTW...Jeff, you have to put your's in your siggie line now. You know...the one without the BOB logo??

I can sit out from this game if you'd like if it will make it a little more fair.

Good morning all,

Picked up nephew at the airport last night. I was so bad at dinner but it was soooooooooooo good. we went out to Pensacola Beach. I had coconut shrimp!! It was fabulous. Tried to take some pictures, but the battery died... It's going to be hard to get to the gym with company. I have to walk at lunch and be better at this.

DS # 1 got a tick in his head when we lived in Maine. I freaked out. The next day they both got crew cuts!!

I guess every one has gone to work or back to bed.

Didn't sleep much last night, kids went out for Cinco De Mayo. Oldest stayed over a friends house in Destin, after calling at 1. Can wait to see the looks he gets at work if he is wearing the same clothes! I hope he planned ahead. At least he was smart enough to not drive. # 2 was home early he was the DD of his group since he is only 20!

Alas my dear had it not been for a whip round by the DISSbobers accountants club we would have been unable to make this cruise ourselves......So may i take this time to thank all you guys for making this trip possible,worry not i won't name you but you know who you guys are.....

Another day of drizzle is forecasted. I am waiting for nice weather so I can paint my garage. First I have to rent a pressure washer to knock the lose paint off though. I would rather do that in nice weather!

I saved the tick thinking right away it was a deer tick and put it in a small sealable container, but the Dr. didn't need it. They said to wait a week or so to see if she developed the standard lyme disease rash. Well, she did develop the rash, and we took her in and the Dr. verified it. They then started her on antibiotics right away. She was nauseous during the treatment, but has been fine ever since. The good thing is that if it is treated right away, you pretty much beat it.

Sadly, no MNSSHP tickets for us... but we decided in the end we didn't want one day later in the evening, when DS is tired, to be his first look at the Magic Kingdom. We're headed straight home after the BOB cruise, where I will begin scheming and planning for when we can get out to WDW. I'm not sure if it will be 2010 or 2011 since we'll need to save up some $$$....

Congrats to all the BOBers who got their tickets!
