Well, I am at work beginning my day of paper pushing. Thank goodness I have the DIS up on the computer to keep me sane throughout the day.

How is everyone else today? What green lights are on?? At least those of you that don't lurk in stealth mode! Cheaters!

Hey everyone.

Elaine is back from her repair...:lmao: That's basically what it was. I just finished pressure washing the garage, so I will put on some dry clothes and take the pressure washer back to Home Depot.

Then its off to the office for a few hours. I'll check in when I can.

Matthew, I think the Magic sails at 5:00.

The sail time is 5pm but it's been known to leave later due to circumstances. In 2005, we didn't leave until about 6:45pm because the Casino Cruise ship caught fire. :scared:

But if it leaves later, you could always walk down to Jetty Park once you are done your dinner and watch it sail out there :thumbsup2

Thanks to both of you for the replies. We are planning our days now for our trip which starts June 30th. (That sounds a whole lot closer than the first week in July!)

It's going to be a busy travel summer this year. Florida in July, Las Vegas in August (Twice) and then getting ready for the cruise in October. :thumbsup2

I'm taking our girls out to Las Vegas to visit their grandparents for three weeks. I fly out to drop them off, and then again to pick them back up. I'm not a big fan of the airline unaccompanied minor programs.

It's going to be busy for us as well.

Next weekend we take our Bible quiz team to Western New York State for their finals.

Two weeks later we take our sacred dance group to the New Jersey Meadowlands for their finals.

Two weeks later, Elaine and the kids go to Music Camp for a week and I am solo at home. The day after they return we drive to Georgia to visit Elaine's Aunt and Uncle.

July is pretty clear fortunately once we get back from Georgia. We may go to Maine in August for a few days.

Before we know it, we will be totally gearing up for the cruise in October.

Where do you like to visit in Maine? I grew up near Bangor.

We lived for 7 years in Sanford, but now my parents live in Portland. We will go visit them, hang out at the beach during the day, sight see, etc.

G'night!

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Thank you Karen!! You must be my good luck sleep charm. Lol. I did not even get to read this until I woke up at 730am, because I fell asleep right away. Then I woke up to mu daughter slapping my back to wake me up, not a polite thing to do to someone with a slipped disc. Lol. But she knows now.

Your shift schedule sounds much different that my FF sons. They work 24 on, 24 off, 24 on, then 5 days off. There are 4 "shifts" that rotate through an 8 day schedule. Each week the 2 work days move up by one (ie Mon-Wed, tues- thurs, wed fri etc) so I can predict way ahead when they work. They are on the same shift but not the same house.

N[/QUOTE]

The twelve hour shifts that I have been working are at my full time job, Pepsi-Cola. When I do firefighting work, that is on a volunteer basis. My fire department is all volunteer. We carry pagers, and when dispatch alerts us, we go to the station. The three chiefs, as well as the three captains(which is what I am), also carry two way radios, so that we can communicate with our dispatch center, while enroute to the station, or scene.

Well, we are officially doing mnsshp. I just ordered the tickets. On Oct 31st, it will be my wife, my dad, my daughter, and I!! I can not wait.

I also reserved my room at the Radisson. I decided to splurge. Suite, here I come:).

Do you want me to add you to lists for MNSSHP and Radisson on the BOB site?

I don't add any information automatically, just so you know that's why I'm asking ;)

I was just going to send you message about that:). Yes, if you would that would be greatly apprecaited. 10/31 for MNSSHP. Also, I have a picture for your website. Do I send that as an attachment? Never sent a pic via email before.

Sorry, got distracted by 101 Dalmatians :goodvibes

Yes, just attach the photo to your email or if it's on Photobucket, you can send me the link :thumbsup2

Geez...

It's Saturday night...where the heck is everyone?

It was a great day today. Graduation was very nice, perfect weather...great for pics, which I wll post tomorrow when we get home. We'll probably be home around noon tomorrow.

The strangest thing happened today...

Before the ceremony, all of the graduates gathered in the hall to sign in. As we were standing there, one of the guys said hi to me and we started talking. We were both receiving the same degree, so I asked him what his name was. (With online classes, you learn names of classmates, but there are obviously no faces to go with that name.) We realized that we were in several classes together and continued to talk. It was then time to line up.

We were instructed to line up in pairs so he & I paired up. In the meantime, Mike was in The Drugin Center, where the ceremony was to take place. He was talking to the person sitting next to him while he waited for the ceremony to start.

As we entered the room, Mike was looking for me and taking pics...he noticed that the woman he had been talking to had her camera pointed in the same direction. He asked her..."Is that your husband in the glasses?" She said, "Yes". Mike said, "Well, that my wife walking next to him". They both started laughing.

It was so weird that amongst all of the graduates I was with, I chose to talk to this guy and amongst all of the family members in the auditorium, that his wife would sit next to Mike. After we did the processional and sat down, I noticed she and Mike were doing a lot of laughing. Then I noticed that she got up and came over to take a pic of us. (We were in the front row.) I asked the guy..."Is that your wife"? He said, "Yes". I said, Well, that's my husband sitting next to him. He was dumbfounded.

There's more!!!

You'll never guess what he does for a living.

He's the Master Chef for the Magic Kingdom. He's been with the company for more than 25 years. :rotfl2: Weird!!! huh?

He said that when we come down in Oct to call him and he'll get us in the park. :woohoo:

Isn't that a great day!!!:banana::banana:

WOW! Super cool Robin!:cool1:

Congrats on your graduation:thumbsup2

Chris, the Dates and Hotel pages have been updated with your info :thumbsup2

I was just thinking about all the pictures I forgot to take on my past cruises. How about we start a list of those "Must Have" pictures here? Please copy and paste into your response.

I'll start:

1) A picture of my cabin number for my scrapbook.
2) A picture of my door once the massive amount of magnets have been placed on it.

anyone else......?

I took quite a few pics (over 700) on the '07 cruise, but I know I'm missing some.

I took the ones above, but did not get:

3) a pic of the squashy chairs on deck 4 (preferably with me or someone near and dear to me in one)
4)pics of Rockin' Bar D - oh wait, I was dead tired by 9PM each night-will have to fix THAT!
5)pics of my DIStag gifts
6)lots of pics of my DIS friends!
7)Character pics - I want to get one with Cinderella with me this time!
