I am home sick with a head cold... grrrr..

at least the weather is matching my mood today..lol it's raining!

We were Air Force Brats and my brother and I live about 5 miles from each other and our parents so there is hope. When My oldest went to college a few years ago. I cried for days and it was awful. I was happy when he came home and enjoyed the time he was home with us except for the fact that he is a slob. A couple of weeks ago he moved out (he is getting married in July) and I was doing a happy dance. It is amazing how things change in a couple of years.

Hello everyone. I went out to have breakfast with some friends today. I am back home for just a few minutes before heading out to work. It's still dreary here. No sun and lots of drizzle. I hope it gets nicer soon!

I remember V....I watched the original miniseries(es) and the short-lived series.

I didn't see the original Battlestar Galactica, but DH did.

Yeah, I love V. Watching a little bit now as I sit here for a few minutes.

Just back from our photography class

Good and interesting this week

Nancy - shutter speed - do you have a sports mode? - if so, the shutter speed is mega fast - turn your flash off Also fast in snow mode - apparantly snow mode works great on a beach too (Maybe its the glare off the sand is the same as the snow)

We did outdoor moving shots today and then "played" with Adobe photoshop cs3 - great package - anyone got it? - I asked the tutor and he said the package is approx $950 - wont be buying that then

Next week should be fun - we have to take Ellis' scooter and do more moving shots

Last week, when we had our VAWI dismeet, we were all having dessert and a few had key lime pie. I'm not a huge fan, but I just noticed on the food porn thread that there is key lime fudge in the MK.

That made me remember the Celebration Key Lime Pie from the Flying Fish: key lime pie with an Oreo crust, topped with fresh panna cotta & lime zest, served with Pineapple Sorbet and Chocolate Accoutrements!

Jen - its amazing the difference in speed by just changing the mode - also turning off the flash makes a HUGE difference too.

Not posting this week because I didnt save them to my memory stick

I'll do it next week.

We also learnt about forcing the flash if the subject is backlit, but I'm sure everyone already knows that anyway. The course is aimed at families, so I know bits already, but I'm still learning stuff each week

As for flashes...also turn it off if you are taking a picture through a window.

You know the smilies on the right,....well I want to print off the shruggy one to add to my Bob t shirt (dont ask why)....any idea how I can capture the image to print it out?
