Ours is easy to remember. August 16, 1977. Anyone know what else happened on that date?

Wasn't that the day Elvis passed away?

I remember that year because our Kristen was stillborn on April 19, 1977 and I remember Elvis passing away a few months later.

Six thousand posts on the DIS, oh my!
Wow, those 10 years sure did fly by

Six years with hardly a peep, yes I was a loser
Then I got smart and became a Konked Kruiser

Now hardly a day passes that I don’t post
I now have great friends from coast to coast to coast


With the BOB cruise on the horizon
I’m so excited I’m almost crying

Chicken tenders, chocolate croissants and maybe some fries
Ice cream, cookies and peanut butter pies

With only six months left to go
Tickets are booked, I’m raring to go

Door magnets, t-shirt transfers, there’s so much to do
What to get for Dis Tag, I haven’t got a clue

October, I don’t think you could come fast enough
The next six months are sure to be rough

Passing the time with my BOBer friends
Undoubtedly the waiting will soon come to an end

So that’s it for now, it’s all been said
I’ll see you all on the BOB thread​

Correctamundo Andy! I am a huge Elvis fan and worked part time as a waitress at a disco bar while going to college. I remember being soooo sad at work that night and Chuck was all too eager to console.

I have no idea what we are doing today! Elaine was at a teen lock in last night, so I am guessing that me, Jay and my sister will figure something to do today. Sammi is still at my inlaws until tomorrow evening.

Good morning everybody. Though I would jump in and say Hi before I headed over to let my son's dogs out to do there busniess. As I said a couple days ago Dads dog setting while my son his wife and kids have gone to Texas.

Thanks Chris we'll take very good care of her. She can get a bit loud can't she especially when she is excited so she was probably loud all week by you it sure was quiet here last week though. Thanks for taking such good care of her

I just checked her flight and it looks like they're making good time

I am, but my dad and sister planned this game. This isn't part of my season ticket plan. I am in the left field bleachers now. The new stadium is so much more cozy than the old one. Everything feels closer.

In regards to Jeter...Mo's pitching, its going to be a strikeout!

Just an update on wii fitness coach for those interested in buying it:

I did it again yesterday... a new "room" opened up to exercise in, I also opened up more music choices.

You can add additional exercise onto it to keep record.... I added my 30 minute walk on from the day before

Also, she asks a few times through the workout if its too easy, working hard or couldnt keep up. I clicked on "too easy" for part of it and she said she would increase the intensity next time, so its definitely tailored to your ability

Really enjoying it so far

I still haven't ordered this from Amazon but you're reviews are making me think I really should
