I saw you Mike. Watching the video gave me a very good idea of what you do now. Thanks for sharing

Was just talking with a fellow co-worker of mine. While I was away, there was indeed a vote that granted to give our 2009 3.5% raise back, to add insult to injury, our local property taxes are going up around .40 per $100 of property value and that doesn't include the school tax increase. So far, I'm already about $2500.00 in the hole and starting to worry about the possibilty of what this might mean for our October 2009 vacation plans, especially since I have Lina's massage therapy school tutition to pay for as well.

It's just like the little saying that was on our paystubs a few months back, "Just when you think you are going to make the ends meet, they move the ends." So true.

Yes it is rough times for everyone right now. We all need to hope and pray things will turn around soon. Diane

When looking at this picture, I was reminded that we did the "bands" the last time.

Do I dare ask if we want to do them again this time? I think they were around $2.00 or $2.10 per band.

Maybe Orange this time with the Black writing (we did no darkening the last time). It could say "Bash On the Boat 10/24/09".

It is limited to 25 characters.

Do you think Orange would be good this time or go with the usual Lime Green?

If we go Orange, do we order them with Black fillin in the words? It would stand out for sure.

I'm in for the bands as well. I like the orange with black. I think it would be nice to see the wording.

see those things i had in my hands. those are the "beads" of a tire.
i put the filler material and "flip stock" around them.:confused3
helps keep the air out of the tire beads.

hence the title "bead flipper"

when i was in the hospital, they asked what i did for a living, i told them bead flipper. later a few hospital workers asked me, mr D. whats that mean? you're a BeeF flipper? they thought i worked at mcdonalds or something.:lmao:

Hilarious!

Not that guy. He was for real.

He took a tounge lashing. Didn't stay around too much.

Funny, I don't remember him at all. Maybe he came in during one of my lapses.

I thought the reports were that the new ships would be doing the Caribbean and that one of the old ones would be going to the West Coast.

Also, to get to the West Coast, the new ships would need to go around the tip of South America - they are too big for the canal.

Yep, you're right. The new ships are due to be in the Caribbean for the foreseeable future for the exact reason Jeff stated. I'm betting that the Magic will come to CA. Probably early 2011.

Good evening everyone. I see everyone was pretty chatty tonight. I had to buy some Yankee tickets, do a fantasy baseball draft, then watch the series finale of Battlestar Galactica.

I was able to buy tickets to 5 games. I probably could have got more, but with the cruise, 5 was a good amount. I may sell a couple, but since I bought tickets from the Yankees direct, I don't lose seniority.

We cruised on RCCL on their smallest ship. Elaine would like to try one of their Freedom class ships sometime.

Sounds great to me. Diane

errrrrrrrrrrr! Looks like a late night for me. There are people moving in accross the street and they are loud. They are yelling and blaring music. I hope it stops soon.

Anyways. I have cruise on a few different lines. My sig has them listed if anyone has questions about them I can try to answer the for you. There are pros and cons to any line. It just really depends on where you want to go and how much you want to spend. DCL is one of the more expensive ones for where they go. But they are great for the younger kids. Absolutly love them for that.

Well, I'm at my In-Laws. Kids are watching Pinocchio, So I gotta wait to go home until it's done. I was surfing on my iTouch and using my reading glasses, but when I tried to mult-quote the browser on the iTouch balked forcing me to take residence on my Father-in-law's computer.

Mike Walt and I watched the video. It was great to see you. Can I have your autograph since you are a movie star now. Diane

Evening peoples :wave2:

I had a very late workout tonight, sounds like I missed a fun evening chat!

The new ships will be able to fit through the canal once it's widened, which is 2014 I think. They are contracted to stay in Port Canaveral for a minimum of 5 years.

We cruised RCCL in 2003 on the Explorer of the Seas and I wasn't really impressed. The food was horrible and there were lines everywhere. Our serving team was horrible! Even though we made it very clear that neither of us could drink alcohol because of medical reasons, they totally pushed the drinks on us every single night, it was soooo irritating  After a few nights we got really sick of it and stopped going to the dining room. We had supper in the buffet, that's how annoyed we were!

We went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica and climbed Dunn's River Falls. It's a very poor country, even more so than St Maarten I would say. I also didn't like Labadee, their "private island" stop. :crazy2:

I don't think I would cruise RCCL ever again. I'm sure it's a good fit for some people but it's just not for us.

Hey Mike, can I have YOUR autograph please :worship: :worship: You're a bonafide star
