Which other lines did you cruise on Mimi?

Never heard of fleece sheets. We have flannel ones that we love! :thumbsup2

We did RCCL- mariner, it was fine, just a little more crowded tha DCL, and the pools are salt water.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

oops. 9000 and no poem.:rolleyes1

tough toenails karen.:snooty: :snooty: :lmao:

i'll have to work on one for 10,000....ok karen??:worship: :worship:

Ooohhhhh....you're going to have the rath of Karen now. I think you get a 10 post variance. May want to work on it.

Be back in a bit kids. The battery on this laptop is in the warning stage. I'll be back when I get the other laptop. See you in a couple minutes.

Do they leave out of Ft Lauderdale or Miami Joanne?

Yup, and she's got sharp elbows and isn't afraid to use them. :rotfl2:

BTW...I don't do flannel sheets...

I only do flannel jammies. :snooty: :)
:rotfl2:

We prefer 1000TC sheets to any others. It is amazing to us we can really tell the difference, but we can.

We've done Royal Caribbean and Carnival. We've been lucky to cruise at non-college oriented times according to those who tell the horror stories, but we enjoyed different things about both lines. There are things we like better and things we don't like as much about all 3. It will be interesting to do a DCL that isn't a Members' cruise and compare the two.

Canaveral- on sundays, but the freedom is there now. We had a great time has three cabins, 12 people. We did compare it to disney, but for the differecne in $$ is was well worth it. We all had balconies for less than inside rooms and trhe teen agers loved the inside promenade and food places.

Oooooh, I love my 1000TC sheets too. It's like sleeping on a cloud, isn't it? :cloud9:

So, what kind of stuff do they do on a Member Cruise? I'm wondering if it's any different than a regular cruise. Maybe a lot of games with great prizes???

There is rock climbing, golf, iceskating. Lots of pools. It just seemed like a lot more people. always lines for food, getting on and off ship..no free soda.

hey..what are the odds??:rolleyes1

I think we'll put buying smoke alarms on the list for tomorrow.

It's like sleeping at the Hilton. :cloud9: :cloud9:

From all we heard, it is very different, but I am sure there are others on here more qualified to answer.

Too funny you said cloud - that is what we call our bed with those sheets. We have to use steps to get on it anyway, and then the sheets are SOOOOOo soft!

I've seen a few Travel Channels shows with different ships. Some of those are just amazing. I think Heather and afeg were on RCL's fancy new ship last year. They'll have to confirm. I believe they went to Ireland on it.

Wow Joanne - We didn't have lines on Mariner at all. I think it must depend on when one goes. We never felt crowded on it either. We bought the soda card, so it seemed free once we paid - sunk cost. We had a blast on it.

Member cruise is fun but more $$. Two days at cc and one sea day, they should do it the pther way arround, not enought time to relax by the pool with all the stuff going on. They give away a lot of gifts. Last year I didn't care for at all, lots of pins, not a pin collector so I gave mine away.

IN 2007 there was a nice throw, and some misc stuff.

Kind of makes you want to stay there forever, doesn't it? :lovestruc

We did one RCI cruise, it was nice, but it wasn't Disney. I know, it's like comparing apples and oranges, but we are spoiled with the Disney touch.....:thumbsup2
