we were in the bakery on main st.:wizard:

i think its a simple name.
ice cream cookie sandwich.
i think most people dont realize they make em.
or they think they're sold in the ice cream shop.

Hmm, you know Jeff, you brought up a very good point about the cruise possibly being diverted

We should all prepare back-up plans for the Western just in case we do get diverted. When we cruised in 2005 and got diverted, I was so lost, I had no idea what to do because we planned on the Western itinerary not the Eastern! :scared:

This time I am doing some research on what we would do if we make it to the Western just in case :thumbsup2

really?? our 2005 cruise got diverted too.:rolleyes1
small world eh?:rolleyes1

Mine's simple:

Key West - Stay on ship unless we need something from the store for the room (although I'm sure Suz will want Key Lime pie).

Grand Cayman - cab up to Public Beach on Seven Mile Beach (I think Karen will agree and come along on that one :thumbsup2 )

Cozumel - if it is not windier than heck like last time, probably Chakanaab (sp?)

We will NOT do any DCL excursions if it is a Western.

Our 2004 western was cut short by 2 days, diverted and no Castaway Cay due to a hurricane (end of September). My parents are just about to arrive and they were on the Jan.31/09 Eastern with St. Croix. Anything you want me to ask them??? They are bringing menus & navigators that I asked them to collect since we didn't get to go. I'm getting hungry & I haven't even seen them yet.

yep. the 2005 was supposed to be western but we got diverted to eastern because of hurricane wilma.

Oh...I thought it was suppose to be an Eastern and you got on a Western.

Eastern is much better anyways.

first cruise we took, they teased us with CC all day. kept floating back and forth hoping the winds would die down, but they didnt.:headache:

we wanted to jump ship just so we could experience the island.

Did they load the ship up right away then with the next group or did yours start late?

I think I remember that one. The one before you went really long, made the first stop ever at Costa Maya. The audit manager on our account was on that cruise. His wife and one son got off in Galveston and he and the other son stayed on until they got back to FLL.

You know, out of all our cruises, we've never missed Castaway Cay.

We are only planning on Trunk Bay this time for excursions. We'll do St. Maarten on our own like last time.

We actually stayed on the ship in Puerto Vallarta on the Repo. That was the first time we ever did that. We had the ship to ourselves.

When the rain started at 4:00, we got off and went ashore to the Wal-Mart for some supplies and got back on.

We originally thought of going to a nearby hotel and using their pool and stuff, but figured why? We'd pay $100 to go there (get it back in food and drink). The pools and restaurants on the ship were dead and the drinks much cheaper. It was the most relaxing day.

That is the one good thing about an Eastern, you get that extra sea day. :thumbsup2

We were already at the port and could see the ship ... but they left without us.:headache: We were evacuated to Orlando for 2 days and then bussed to Fort Lauderdale where we were finally allowed to get on two days late:banana: Other than being too short, it was heaven on earth once we got on board. We got a large on-board credit, a big rebate on the cruise and the option of rebooking another at 50% off in the next year ... something we weren't able to do at the time. :guilty:
