That's the same program I have Jen. But from what I take of this, the invitations I designed are still in the Print Shop program I had on my old laptop, and programs can't be saved. I'm far from a computer expert, I'm just going by what has happened to me in the past.

It would be worth a phone call to ask if there is a way to save the files from that program....but I'm not a computer expert either.

Just letting you know if you can get the file, I have the program to open it!

So, Andy--y'all are leaving tomorrow? Y'all have a great trip and bring back some of that warm weather. Is Lina bringing along the boyfriend?

That's why I just go right to the store. I want it now. :rotfl:

Best Buy is running some really good sales lately. If you don't need all the bells and whistles, you can keep it under $500 and in some cases down at $400 (and that is with a Pentium Dual-Core, not a Celeron).

My old laptop seems to be working well, so I'm not ready to jump at a new one, but I was looking since before Xmas and actually bought one. It had Windows 64-bit, and I was finding it would be a problem with some software, so I returned it.

I've been looking every week though. I may just get the bug to buy one at these prices.

The laptop Lina picked out for me was a Toshiba and the price was $399.99, I didn't really need all the bells and whistles. As long as it has the wireless card (which it does) and I believe Lina said it does have a dual-core processor. I guess I'll know more about it after I pick it up tonight. :)

We land in Chicago on the 29th of June,we are looking for a Taxi from the Airport and free accommodation and food during our stay,we are open to all invites.....:rolleyes1

The files themself should be outside the program. They should be able to get those. That is why all my stuff is put into a folder called "data". This way, I can get all of my files when I back up. No need to locate them. Check with them. I'm sure they could get you the file at least.

As for Lina, so she won't take her 1 year old computer that you bought her because something might happen to it, but is fine with you taking your brand new computer. Kids.

OK. I'll have to check that out!!! :thumbsup2

Yep, kids, gotta love 'em!!! :lmao:

Raw air temp or Wind Chill?

Either way, that is still cold.

Yeah it's been freezing ever since that blizzard blew in but it will be back to 0º by Saturday! :thumbsup2 It's -25C and -30C with the windchill :scared:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: "A" for effort, Yankee boy.:rotfl:

So, Paige...everyone seems to poke fun at you a little for talking all "southern" :rolleyes1 I was just wondering what sayings you have for us Northern peple??? :rotfl2: Do you call us Canucks like most people??? Don't worry, I don't offend easily ;)

Yepper, our flight leaves at 7:10 tomorrow night!!! :yay: :yay: :yay:

No, Bryan just started working in December at Philly Airport, he won't get any vacation time until next year. He told us last night that he has to put in a vacation request at least one year in advance.

When you went to open the file after closing down, did you bring it up through "file, open"? If so, you have the file elsewhere.

You normally don't save files in a program. All my word, excel and even my accounting package, save the data outside the program.

You may want to call them up and double check. Good luck. I don't think all is lost.

I can't speak for all Southerners, but I can tell you that Cajuns have an affection for Canadians. We feel connected since much of our ancestry comes from there. My parents visited Canada (Quebec and Montreal, I think) many years ago and my mom always says how beautiful it was and that she couldn't help but look in the telephone book to see all the same surnames that we have in Cajun Country....:goodvibes

I thought you already had an open invite? :confused3

Bed is available, Bottingtons will be in the fridge, and we'll make you all that American food you squirmed at on vacation. :rotfl2:

I have a ton of vacation, so I can pick you up from O'Hare too. May even take the whole week off.

Sounds like a party time now. :cool1:

(btw, the kids coming or staying?)

I also have to get my suitcase packed tonight, and get us checked-in for our Southwest flight. Looks like I will be "VERY BUSY" tonight........:rotfl:

OK, gotta get ready to get back to work, see y'all later..........:wave2:

Sounds like you'll be just fine. :thumbsup2

I can't believe how much computers have come down in price. If I can hold off until late summer, I may buy then. That tends to be the end of the model year and have close out pricing. Figure the new ones come out for back to school in late August.
