Walt, thought I'd answer this here since you might not see it on #18.

The knees were most likely related to sports as I'm sure the back was some how too. I was a triple jumper in high school (actually still have a school record - 26 year old one at that) and also played football. Anyhow, all those of the "hop" and the "step" on the pavement did me in. My ankles crack every so often when I walk, both knees are bad, and so on.

Excellent :thumbsup2

My brother was a track star and his injuries are showing now in xrays...He was a miler and jumper as well...:)

Although he played football, I was the STAR of the family..All DIstrict both ways and All State Honorable mention both ways, beaten out by a Doctor's son....:thumbsup2

I was lucky, only a broken thumb during my playing days...:thumbsup2

I'm logging off before someone wants a poem from me. Good night everyone. See you on thread #20. :goodvibes

Oh yeah, Sasha. She was the WORST server EVER on all the cruises we've been on. Even worse than the one we had once that was geting off the ship when we were (mind wasn't in it).

Not sure how Sasha made it on a team in the dining room. :sad2:

Didn't someone else have a problem with their drink that night as well?

You had her removed from Leslie before having him on the 5-nighter, right? Was she even in the dining room?

That first day she was in the buffet, after that never saw her the whole time we were there and mind you we were on the ship all day for 3 days straight.

I'm done too. Good night everyone.

Oh Walt - You and Mack can be good football buddies and trade stories on the cruise. He was All Conference, All Area, and All East and recruited by UNC, USAFA, and ECU.

And now I am off to bed for real - had a student chatting with me on Facebook, so I popped over here one more time.

Is everyone leaving???:confused3 My phone isn't chirping with notices telling me I have new posts.

Excellent...Now Jeff and I will have someone to swap stories...What a small world...:thumbsup2 Yea, I gave up scholarship for a GIRL...:confused3

Impressive. Was that down in TX? There's some really good programs down there.

I never did much in football. Started, but that's it.

My track career was virtually over right before the season started my Junior year. I really did a number on my ankle in gym class about 2 weeks before the season. My leg was black/blue/green I wrecked it so bad. Couldn't jump the same again. My sophmore year I took 2nd in my conference (which was one of the best in the state). My jump was in the top 12 in the entire state. Problem was we had two guys older than me that were even better than I was. Only 2 could go to Regionals, so I sat out.

I did have a brush with fame though jumping my freshman year. Kenny Harrison went to school at a high school in our conference. He was a senior when I was a freshman. I remember him laughing at me at the meet (I only jumped 38 feet that year). If you don't know who he is, he one at least one gold medal in the Olympics. The guy isn't that tall but has huge legs.

Looks like everyone left, so I might as well log off as well.

Check back with y'all tomorrow.

Bummer on the injury...Louisiana Football...

I had one brush with fame my 8th grade year,(lettered varsity for 5 years) , tackle Holye Granger after being dragged 15 yards...Got to play after the other tackles were injured that night....No fear in my play.Yea, Granger had huge legs as well, people would come from all over to watch him play basketball, just to see his Thighs....:scared1:
