we're thinking of making the trip to iowa may 9th for robins graduation.
working on the details now. we'd be awfull close to WI.

One of the doctors at work just got back from an Eastern with a stop in St. Croix. She said it was very nice. She also said the Magic was not very full and the servers were really trying to make a good impression so you'd rebook. She said they were offering all kinds of incentives for rebooking and "referrals", it really seemed to her like Disney is hurting financially.

They are hurting I believe. They extended the "7 for 4" offer now through Aug 15. I bet the "free dining" comes in after that.

I suspect huge discounts on rooms for October.

I also think that there will be a lot of upgrades for this group. If they can't fill the ship in Winter, they sure aint going to fill it in October. I bet most of the inside cabins will get windows and the windows get a balcony. Us in the SPH rooms won't get anything.

These are tough times.

I hope that the memories of our family vacations, that our kids never tire of vacationing w/mom & dad. We have never vacationed w/out our kids.

We have wonderful memories of our family vacations too that I would never give up! Rachel says we will never be able to vacation without her, she'll want to come with us forever

I don't ever remember them having discounts like this through the summer before, but then again they also had some pretty good discounts right up to Christmas Eve too which I don't remember seeing. Last time I checked available rooms for our cruise there weren't as many as I thought there would be but with the way things are going there could still be a lot of cancellations.

i remember a few years ago, my sis and her husband took a trip to wdw with their girls. (19 and 21). he made the comment that this would probably be the last family trip for them.
to which the oldest daughter replied " no way dad. as long as you and mom are paying, we'll go with you"

I think that's what Rachel is thinking, as long as she can get a payed for vacation out of us she'll be there

It was. We were close to a record high (not sure if we got it or not). We took him for Italian tonight. He loves pasta.

When I checked a few weeks ago there were only 2 cat 6 rooms available, I was surprised. There were quite a few cat 5 rooms available though.
