10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #18

Yeah the rain will really make a mess of what is left. My friends have been "training" for the Birkie and one of them went out to the park they usually ski at this afternoon and she said there were a lot of bare spots so she didn't ski. It is supposed to warm up up north too and my sister says it's been very, very cold up there this winter but they didn't get as much snow as we did so what they have could melt away.

Though I think it's suppose to get colder and they talk snow for us Thursday.

I thought you would slow down after the holidays

Nah we are still busy people. It is a full time job, but we don't work 15-16 hour days 7 days a week like we do for the holiday season.

Today was the day where we take kids for regional music and fine arts instruction. Since we have so many, we have to take both of our vans, so I go and just hang out.

I just updated my trip report with the Magic Kingdom section, if anyone is interested. I also added a section on the Bay Lake Tower construction.

Kathy this is the first installment of your trip report that I read, great report now I need to go back and read the rest and see all your pictures! Great pictures of Bay Lake Tower we are debating on if we should try and get a reservation there for the night after the cruise at the 7 month window or if we should try AKV. Bay Lake Tower sure looks like it will be nice though and we definitely want to stay there at some point!

Thanks, Cheryl! I am new at this, so I appreciate any feedback. I didn't think we did that much but when I started writing I realized it was more than I thought.

We will be staying at BLT for 2 nights next January. It would certainly be convenient for MNSSHP!

OMG we have sooo many deer here!!! I live in a condo development and we have them walking around the place. My county even instituted some extra hunting seasons to try to cull them. It seems to have helped - not as many got hit by cars this year.



Let's hope that Jessica Rabbit is on ice because she died an was cryogenically frozen.

We headed out today and took back ALOT of old playstation games.. walked away with a $62 dollar gift card.. thats over half my wii fit cost..mwhahahaha

I also just wipped up some chili for the church curling bonspiel tomorrow (I was informed it was potluck at 3pm..lol) Sean is joining his sister (her church) for this event. Bug (my daughter) and I are heading out for some girl time... hmm wonder what Cass and Kira are up to..... white spot for supper??..lol

Tonight I think hubby and I will play alittle world of warcraft and have our co-op killing time..lol (it's our bonding time..lol)

So glad to hear Mary is doing well!!

Mary has a lot more than an oxygen monitor on her finger, there's an IV and this whole spaghetti of other monitoring cords that can get in the way as well, and the notebook isn't all that conducive to typing anyhow.

Mary's doing well enough that one of the nurses inferred that the only reason she's still in ICU is there really isn't room up in the regular patient rooms, and there's plenty down in the 2 ICU units. No point in moving her. She's met all the doc's goals, the only remaining thing they are doing is wean her off the oxygen so she can get up and get moving around to get her strength back. They've pretty aggressively stepped it down already, I'd expect she'll be totally off it in the next day or two. If everything goes as they expect she could be heading home as soon as Tue.

Then there are are the men who are supposed to be reading the map while you drive but give you the wrong directions & you end up being razzed for getting lost for years afterwards - oh, did I say that happened to me? Guess who was reading the map????
