10/24/2009 Bash On the Boat (I'm with B.O.B.) - Thread #18

Yeah, we're pretty open to seeing whatever....except Mama Mia. we saw that in Vegas a couple of years ago.

We are 4 of us going and we each have our "must-do"s. I just want to see a show and get a good meal. I'm open to whatever else. One friend wants to see the Statue of Liberty. Another wants to go to Chinatown. And another wants Central Park and Times Square.

Any ideas on a restaurant? It is ok if it's a little pricey if it is good. We don't mind getting a little dressed up, but not dressy dressy, if that makes sense.

Sounds like a good time. Grandkids, daughter and I went to NYC a couple summers ago. We had a ball. We took the subway in from Connecticuit. We went to Chinatown, Statue of Liberty, Times Square and Central Park, St Patricks Cathedral, United Nations, Empire State Building. We were real busy. My brother and sister in law and nephew came with us. My sister in law knew all the great tourist attractions for NYC. She lived in NYC when she was a kid. We had a great time. It was a memorable vacation for all. My other daughter Erika and her friend went to a show. She said she had fun and it was great. I can't remember what she saw. I would love to see Mama Mia. I love that show. I think the music is great. Diane

What time of year works best for you? Taking the kids?

It would depend on what time of year whether we took the kids or not. Also cost because we are saving for England next year. But we have a timeshare that we could possibly use to cover that part and just have to do airfare.

We'll try to make due. At least bring pics of her so we can get our pic with her and Chuck. We did that with a couple that couldn't make the trip with us. So we made paper cutouts of them and put them in different locations during our trip and took lots of photos of "them" having dinner, at the beach, etc. We even made them a photo album of "their trip".

I tried to get AFEG to come in, but I think we'll have better luck getting him in around the 4th of July or in August when the twins are out of school. But then again, he may wait until October to come in.

So did you just think that was funny and snap a pic and have no idea who they were? Or had you chatted with them?

Actually, I was taking a photo of the Magic, then I posted it somewhere...and Mike told me that they were in that pic, so I cropped it and saw Mike was lounging on the car while Robin was getting the stuff and started giving him a hard time about it I will have to post both those pics again
